At the Inn of the Fortunate Minotaur

There are two types of warhorse. Those bred by heavy horse stock, mainly used for heavy cavalry, and those bred from light horse stock, used for scouting, and light cavalry. Light warhorses move faster but can carry less weight.

So far we need:
2 heavy horses
a wagon
4 barrels
4 light warhoses for scouting
plus those which Artemus just mentioned
feed for the 6 horses. or 5000 pounds of food.

We need another cart.

Van, Lenet, and Kaemris already have horse, but they are not war trianed.

While I need to use my 200 gp to purchase spell components for our trip, I can tell you that I have magics to take care of some of our needs... I often travel on a magical steed that carries me over swampland as if it were dry ... I can also create continuous magical light to use against the darkness ... and I've got a very special friend who will act as our "eye in the sky" during our journey (which reminds me, I need to pick up some rat's tails for Wisp).

By the way, Master Bramblefoot, excellent thoughts on what roles we all should play! Two scouts ahead of the party, perhaps one behind and three of us with the caravan. I'm happy to act as a liaison with the settlers.

But we should also discuss our strategy for protecting the settlers. After all, if we're in combat with some fire-breathing giant snails in the middle of the caravan, lots of people are going to be hurt. Perhaps we need three scouts ahead of the party ... one to each side (ahead of the party) and one in front.

Master Tencoin ... didn't you say something about a bottle of wine awhile back? Strategerizing always makes me thirsty..

Hello Again

Lenet comes in, sees the gathering, and goes over to join the group.

Hi--It's good to be back. This looks like a planning session?

She is presumably brought up to date while enjoying mutton and ale.

It has been long since I've been able to dine so well! A dilemma indeed--do we take risks that are potentially mortal for ourselves and those we protect--something I've been far too close to of late!--and risk extreme boredom, or do we charge foolishly and enthusiastically into the teeth of danger?

Danger works for me! I hope our charges are more help than hindrance, but I suppose that we will discover this along the way.

And who are these folks with us?

When introduced around, she greets Darabrac, keeps a good distance from Lucius.

And I see there is a Cloak of Charisma. I would much like it if it is still available, but if in my long absence it was given to another, I have no quarrel with that.

ooc: Mahiro, I believe that Van, Kaemris, and I don't have horses--they were eaten.

And by the way, I now know how to use the chakram. <whew!>

The Tencoin sisters rush out to greet Lenet with hugs, wanting to hear of her journey to Hullack and to the Realms of Flame.

Kaemris comes up from the cellars with four bottles of vintage Arabellan vine-nectars.

Lenet! Well met and welcome! My sisters have been asking after you, as you can tell.

This should be enough wine to satisfy us, Lucius. Remind me to bring more for the journey!

pours out glasses for everyone and shoos away his sisters

"Charge foolishly and enthusiastically into the teeth of danger...?" Could you be referring to my final arrival at Ossington, perhaps? *wink* It just goes to prove that daring to challenge danger can carry one to victory. By Tymora's grace.

Lenet is correct, my friends. We should divide the booty from our last expedition before departure.

Lenet! Fine to meet you! I have heard the tail, and it is good that you are returned to us!

Lucius, While they divide the booty from thier last quest, let us enjoy the time we have left for drinking and carousing. It may be some time before we can knock back rinks without care again. Come, my new friend, and let me tell you of the time I stayed with the ghostwise in my home land. The live in the forest, mind you, quiet like wild elves and....

Artemus Thornwind here

So there are three of us that will split the treasure: Kaemris, Lenet and Artemus? Lenet, we pretty much agreed that you get the cloak. Kaemris wants one of the magic rings-Which one? I could take the other. Since the rings and wand have similar abilities, I suggest that Lenet gets the wand.

That leaves the staff, potion, scroll, armor, sword and valuable rings. The staff is too evil for any of us. Sell it? I am neutral so I don't have any great qualms against doing that. The healing potion and the scroll are worth keeping-Who wants them? I can't use the Bastard sword or the studded armor. Who wants them? Sell them? No one knows what the incense of obsession does so we can't do much with it. I say we sell the other two rings.
What are other ideas.

Treasure Reprint

ring of misdirection 7,000gp
incense of obsession
2 platinum ring 2x50gp
+2 studded leather 4,000gp
+1 keen bastard sword 8,000gp
ring of mind shielding 8,000gp
cloak of charisma +2 4,000gp
wand of non-detection 11,250gp
see invisiblity scroll 150gp
potion of cure light wounds 50gp
13,390 gp

>>Tahgor Ironcrest offered a bounty of 27,375 gp for the Undying Staff, and then bought it. A share of money went to Aoth Sepret before he departed for Mulhorand. Van Dyksun also gets a share. It comes to 13,985 gp each.

Kaemris Tencoin: I would like the ring of Mind Shielding, and I'll take the rest of my share in coin.

[OOC: Lenet, can you use that sword? You should...the keen power increases the chances of a crit...that and the cloak would almost exhaust your share. Van...armor? Van and Lenet are also capable of using that wand, which is nothing to scoff at. Nondetection rocks.]

Put his arm around Darabrac, grabs a bottle of wine, and heads to another table with him.

"Ah, Master Bramblefoot, truly, you are a man, er, halfling after my own heart. Ghostwise, eh? Tell me more... "

(Whispers) "Lenet surely seems taken with me. Ah, well ... the poor lass. I never get involved with someone with whom I'm going to spend five fortnights adventuring! Meanwhile, those Tencoin sisters look like quite a handful, eh? I'm sure Master Tencoin wouldn't mind if they joined us for a drink or two!"
