That was my plan. And with spell points, Gimlak could mass suggest again (no concentration) the Thane’s entourage, and with an extra 2 sp, the Thane itself would have disadvantage on the save. If they all fail their saves (they won’t), I figure we could have 36 giants that follow our suggestion ;-)

So Kahru and Doc are going the stealth way with Gimlak, the Colonel and Donnell(?) going to the gate?
So can I assume that Kahru is aware of Gimlaks scan of the interior of the Crag? (via telepathic link?).
Hmmm decisions now- which gate to enter? Release the Owlbear? Investigate the strange crytals? Rescue the dwarf? Just wait and see if the diplomats get taken inside...

Careful with the dwarf...might be the crazy dwarf that was helping the giants.
I think, if Gimlack is going to mass suggest, it's better for Donnell to go in with the people at the Gate. If things go south, we have a gang inside to help us. Besides, I get to take my Steed.
I would just gather info and wait and see. If we get turned away, we will have to float in with The Colonel and join you.
Being rebuffed isn't a problem, and at least might trigger a "stand down" of watchfulness. There are a lot of ways in, and it might be possible to initiate an assault through one of the side openings not normally accessible (The Colonel's elevator service).
Realistically, I think our options are all together through an unexpected access (possibly preceded by a rebuff at the gate), or a split-party entrance. I lean towards the former for reasons fo game logistics rather than in-world tactics. Somebody decide!

Yeah, that makes sense. There’s very little splitting the party will net us since we have very good intelligence via Gimlack’s divinations.
There may be an advantage of having one or more people invisible when we enter if only to give us freedom to move around if they are unaware of certain people. Like if we want to covertly question the dwarf, for example.
Let’s do the gate. There’s no need for someone to go in while we are negotiating. 3 of us can approach the gate. If we get rebuffed, we will all sneak in. If we get let in, we can tell them the rest of our entourage is on the way or they can just come in with us. Or they can sneak in while we are in diplomacizing.(not a real word)
So, to move things forward, let’s do a scene with Donnell, Gimlack and the Colonel. We will see where it goes.
I’m bringing my horse for no other reason that I hate having a class ability I can’t use.

Spark, invisible, should be able to stay inside and hover and gather intel. (though the Col. can only see through her eyes w/in 100').
