I watch shows like this, that feature boxing or something similar, and I am always reminded of a line from a John Wayne movie, but I can't remember which one. Someone says to Wayne's character "It was just a friendly fight," and Wayne's character says "I've never been in one of those."

I've never been in a friendly fist fight and it seems a deeply irrational method of letting by-gones be by-gones to have people beat each other in the face.

At least they kept it bloody and Rosyln's responce was a surpise.

I was right about who would win in the Tyrol v. Adama fight. I was wrong about it in the Apollo v. Helo and Apollo v. Starbuck fight.

So, Starbuck and Apollo did knock boots, and then Starbuck bolted. Hrm...

Seems a bloody and round about way to get back to the status quo.

Did you notice, there was no Baltar or Six in this episode?
Baltar was in the show - in a brief ceremonial scene in one of the flaskbacks.

I enjoyed this episode, despite being somewhat skeptic on the whole idea of a boxing episode.
Nice character time between Adama and Roslin combined with not-so-nice character time between Apollo and Starbuck. :)

I just can't figure out why Kara would leave Lee and marry Sam... I mean, Kara's a complicated girl with a WHOLE LOTTA issues, but... after screaming to the sky that they are in love... why would she go?

Fear.

For someone who shows no fear everywhere else, she seems to be exceptionally afraid of getting too close. Lee was too close; Sam was convenient.

I've known too many women who would have done/have done exactly the same sort of thing.

That is a frak up, no matter what.
Good show.

Reminds me of how much I hate women (as this show often does).

Then again, watching this show also reminded me how much I love women.

And that's why this was a good episode, and it's a great show.

How can that be filler?

The Apollo/Starbuck stuff was good, but I particularly enjoyed seeing folks enjoying life on New Caprica so much, loving and celebrating and reveling with great happiness. It helped us see just exactly what everyone was risking their safety for: it wasn't just stupid as it seemed, there was real, important motive behind taking the risk.

Doesn't make it smart, but I think it makes it right.

Kara has more issues than a complete set of TV Guides and National Geographics.
