Supposedly it's a DL film, actually. Slated to be released 07.

Nope, already know about that, the info on this film is it will most likely be a "Sweetpea" as was the last two live action D&D films, (and this will mostly depend on the dvd sales of the second movies, the first film sold really well (on dvd only), hence the follow up, and if the current film also sells then...)

And I believe Soloman still holds the rights

The record of PnP gamers (successfully) going to the Dark "computer" Side (or The REAL business of gaming, if you prefer) is relatively light though.
Yeah. Bill Bridges, Zeb Cook, Jared Sorenson, Andrew Greenberg, Allen Varney, Sandy Peterson, Ken Lightner, John Wick, Warren Spector and Paul Jaquays (among many others) really should've stuck to greener pastures.

And there's more than that too. Given the number of PnP designers though, it's still a relatively short list.

Well, this is unexpected. It will save me a lot of money, as his company is one of the few that I buy from. I am glad I didn't buy Ptolus now, as lack of continued support from the author is usually a bad sign for the long-term viability of a line of gaming products.

Your creativity will be missed, hopefully Monte, whatever you do, you'll succeed in.

Ptolus is being shipped as a finished product w/loads of gaming setups, minor hooks etc to last ages. Otehr companies are also producing adventures andsupplements like the maps and such. Don't think of it as something new that goes unsupported, think of it as a complete, failsafe solution ;)

So what does the future hold for me? Well, at least one more game project. Earlier this year I got an offer to work on something so cool that I couldn't say no. But it's not a Malhavoc product, and so I'm not at liberty to announce it here. That comes out next year.
Just throwing more speculation around, in the upcoming schedule we have "Expedition to Castle Ravenloft", and "Expedition to the Demonweb Pits". I wouldn't be surprised to see something like "Expedition to Sigil" (or something suitably Planescapey).

Heck, just to keep speculations flying, I'm thinking Eric Mona's secret project that he just couldn't say no to is "Expedition to Castle Greyhawk".

If this trend is true, then as the only person to have published anything relating to the setting in 14 years, I'm calling dibs on "Expedition to the Hollow World"! ;)

Either way, Monte, I'm excited to see what you are working on in the future (RPG or not), but I am sad to see Malhavoc winding down. I've been a self-confessed fan boy since Eldritch Might. Best of luck to you and Sue!

Thanks for all your hard work over the years Monte. I'm glad after all the years of training, you will finally realize your dream of becoming a male exotic dancer! Good luck! :p

To who? Certainly not the writers and developers.

Actually, they probably do. When you are saying someone pays "a whole lot more than RPGs", you don't actually have to pay that much to make the statement true.
