This is the second post to which I must say "Stop Getting My Hopes Up!!!!".

The first was a post elsewhere suggesting a Planescape TV series. ;)

Oh man, Planescape TV series would be so awsome.

Seriously guys, I'm pretty sure 4e would count as Game Related, and thus not meant.

I wish Monte Cook the best, I hope he enjoys himself in his chosen field. I haven't been able to break into my chosen field yet (that being "lotto winner"), so it's always good when someone finds their place. :)

I've been studying in the "lotto winner" field too. I graduated last year and hope to get a job sometime soon!

Maybe Planescape Torment: 2? A planescape based MMORPG? Maybe a rich arabian shiehk offered him a harem and a dozen sportscars and a palace to be his personal DM?

Monte, it has been an incredible ride. From Origins back in 2000, where I dogged you for several hours, listening/asking/absorbing as much as possible about he release of this crazy monster: 3rd edition.

I've loved your Malhavoc stuff. It has been truly groundbreaking, and is always the kind of thing I want to "slice" and "dice" into my home campaign.

Making yourself accessible through your site has provided me with many hours of fun and enjoyable gaming/sci-fi/comics/movies reading and ruminating.

I wish you tremendous luck on all your future projects.

My personal hopes for Monte's project(s):
1) 4e
2) MCORPG (that's Monte Cook's Online Roleplaying Game...)
3) Something completely "outside the box" like when Monte assisted with Heroclix

Ooo...imagine WoTC and WizKids going head to head with competing "tabletop" D&D minis games. Sweet action!

Dear lord, don't let him get sucked into the pipe dream that is a resurgent Ultima Online.

Juust about every MMO worth considering (outside of Korean developed properties) is developed in Austin, Texas.

That would include BioWare's new MMO in development. Last I checked, Monte worked with BioWare during the development of 3E (as BioWare was part of the 3E design process through NWN).

No inside info on this. "Just sayin' :D

The record of PnP gamers (successfully) going to the Dark "computer" Side (or The REAL business of gaming, if you prefer) is relatively light though.
