Bye Monte!

I was just looking back at just how much stuff of Monte's I've bought over the years...

I probably own about 2/3 of what he's written/been involved with. I think it's great he's persuing his dream but now I can't help but wonder at the timing in some ways (and the ENWorld tradition of throwing fuel on the speculative fires... ). Now if 4e is in development and if Monte has had some involvement with it... what if he knew D20 was no longer going to be open? That would certainly get me thinking about a career change were I in his position...

Any more logs for the bonfire...? ;)

I just wish to say that I think Monte Cook is a great game designer and obviously an extremely bright and creative man. My respects to him.

Sincerely

To who? Certainly not the writers and developers.
Programers! At least when they don't ship the jobs overseas. ;)

Akoss,
Nah I think monte just knew that Hasbro is tossing out RPGs and thus he figures "Well time to take some rest and relaxation while the bottom falls out..."

Juust about every MMO worth considering (outside of Korean developed properties) is developed in Austin, Texas.
What a bizarre assertion, considering the two biggest American MMORPGs were developed in Southern California.

Good luck, Monte and Sue!!!

I wish you success, and thank you for your hard work and your insights into the hobby. Good luck with your future projects, and I suspect that we will be seeing some more gaming products from Monte Cook down the road.

We must have the courage to follow our dreams, and I hope that the dreams will become pleasant realities. Good luck!!!
