I'm up (congratulations CB, and welcome back)!
And no, hafrogman, Karl doesn't have to be all on his lonesome. Just call and Elyan will launch himself into the pit to help out!
It's uncanny, CB - I was looking at Elyan's character sheet (among all the other characters from games that have bitten the dust) just seconds before I logged on and saw your post.
The only confusion for me may be that I'm currently playing the Citadel with another group that started up - so I'll have to remember to keep the two games separate in my head.

Hopefully Strahd and Finley will see this and RSVP one way or the other. I'm not certain about Zilonox; that player may not be around regularly on this site. I'll give this a few more days to gel and then we'll see where our recruitment needs lie.
And I can't think of anywhere funner to be in a game of D&D than down at the bottom of a ten foot pit with a low-level character facing a snarling, snapping ROUS.

Huh, interesting. Thanks for the head's up that Strahd is out of town until later this month, 'Nock. I hadn't realized there was another SC game that recently started...are you certain you want to be playing in two at the same time?

It will present some challenges - but the two characters are different, and the emphases of the two campaigns are somewhat different, too, so I'm happy to give it a try. But if Elyan draws his greataxe and charges, raging, into the midst of the foe ... 
... well, just remind me it's the other game!

Thanks for piping up with your interest, Tailspinner. We're in a holding pattern at the moment until roughly October 20th or so while we wait on Strahd to return from vacaction and RSVP. Finley and Zilonox haven't popped in yet with an RSVP. I'll keep you in mind once we hear (or don't hear) from the others.

Since it was noted that Strahd has been on vacation until October 20th, I thought I'd go ahead and bump this today with the thought in mind that perhaps he'll see this attempt to re-start and will express either interest or a no thanks. Strahd, are you interested in resuming play with Grotzkoshter as your PC?
I haven't heard from Finley or Zilonox, which means that at a minimum this group will be in need of a cleric. I'll wait through this coming weekend before opening recruitment for a cleric and perhaps one other PC to replace Zilonox. Those of you who still feel you want to continue playing, I would like player input as to what class of character (PHB only)--if any--you feel you'd like to see in Korgrave's (the druid being played by Zilonox) stead. I can run this with four PCs no problem. On the flip side, five PCs is also no problem. Right now we have a melee-oriented rogue and a blind bard. I feel we'll need a cleric. Please express your thoughts as to what you'd like to see.
