To my very great joy and delight, this afternoon when I came home from dropping my husband off for a summer-long deployment overseas, I discovered that my computer seems to have eaten not only all the text in ALL my .txt and .doc files, but also all of the data saved for my maps.

...to include my ENTIRE homebrew setting, its pantheon, history, characters, calendar, notes, keep designs, some of my personal records for other family stuff, and five f-'n years' worth of digital pictures of our children.

I have some of my unrevised homebrew setting stashed on diskette. The rest is gone. I'll be re-downloading our RG, IC, and OOC information over the course of today. Since I have no idea what's happened to my data, I advise all of you to please take extra caution when communicating with me via e-mail. My computer is set up to do a complete virus scan every night at 3 am, and I haven't seen anything wrong to date but that certainly doesn't mean that the bloody machine isn't infected with something particularly tricky or nasty.

I've gone ahead and posted in the IC.

I love that image - shopping basket in one hand, greataxe in the other.

And a great turn of phrase - "piercing the darkness like it wasn't even there." Yeah, Grotz!

Oh.. thanks
And to thinks that English is not even my mother tongue ... like we said a few weeks ago.
Now that you mention it, it's really sounds funny, grocery's basket and greataxe, this Half Orc hunter is going to butcher someone and carry the food back home like Little Red Riding Hood.

I'm able and interested in resuming this game. To the original players: please RSVP in this thread if you are able and interested in re-starting the action. I'd like to pick up where we left off, at the bottom of the ravine right at the start of things. If we find ourselves short a player, I intend to re-open for recruitment to fill the opening(s).

Mahalo, and thank you for your kind patience with me. I had a baby in September and am feeling much more up to snuff these days.
