Happy New Year to you! Hopefully, folks will start re-appearing after the new year to resume full-time posting for the game. I'll leave it until Tuesday and will have a look then to see whether anyone's posted. Enjoy the weekend.

I'll give Harr through the weekend to post. If we haven't seen Harr by Monday morning, I'll go ahead and assume that he's not in this anymore. I don't think we need to recruit...I can just as easily have Korgrave drop of the radar once we fold Kaeleen (Tailspinner's PC that I've been aiming to introduce) into the mix.

My husband returns home from sea on Tuesday. I won't be posting on Tuesday, but will be posting on Wednesday and Thursday while he squares things away at work. From Friday onward for an approximately two week period, posting on my end will be sporadic (maybe every other day or something like M/W/F) while we enjoy being reunited as a family. After that, I'll be back for my regular M-F posting schedule.

I'll be posting for our game some point today.

I'm curious about something and I need a few guinea p---uh, I mean willing volunteers.

Would you guys be interested in amping this game up by having the PCs take one feat at every level? So many feats in the PHB never see play and I kinda want to see more of them at work to get a better feel for how things work. Some of them, I've never seen put into practice. PbP games typically don't make it to higher levels, so my guess is that we're never going to wind up with anything truly broken. The NPCs would get the same treatment, of course. Well, let me know if any of you are interested. We'd only do it if all of you want to.

I'd be up for trying it, but I can't see it being a very viable experiment. Isn't Sunless 1-3 or the like? Overall we'd be picking up one spare feat. Still, knock yourself out.

One of the advantages of a fighter over the other classes is the frequency of getting new feats each level, if you do it you cancel this bonus unless the fighter gets his bonus feats AND the feat per level you suggest.
As a DM I don't think it is a wise idea but it is your call.
And we could always continue the adventure to the forge of fury if CB wishes to play with such fine players

Why not? I'd say go for it, although it's not something I'd normally run with. But hey, the blind guy will take any breaks he can get.

A couple of you mentioned toward the start of this game that you were wanting to play it through to higher levels and other adventures. I initially said I didn't think so, but you're all a fine bunch and I'd miss gaming with you. I've lately been considering whether to extend the one-shot Sunless Citadel into a campaign. That's where my interest in playing with feats stems from. Let me know if you all were anticipating getting out after we clean up with this dungeon--I won't be offended. There are plenty of good games on this site and new DMs crop up all the time, so I understand wanting to mix it up. Strahd looks like he still wants to continue on, though. Thanks, Strahd!

Regarding the fighter, yeah, that's an issue. Here are a couple of threads on the subject that contain some ideas to mitigate the problem:

I personally am still waffling on what to do once we complete the SC. I could see hanging up the hat or morphing it into something else...I don't know that I want to run The Forge of Fury or The Speaker in Dreams (I'd have to find a copy of both to buy) but we could do something else. I do own The Standing Stone, a later one in the path. It's so-so. A Dungeon AP, perhaps, or something crafted by my own hand.

CB, I'm enjoying this game, and I'm sure I would enjoy any other that you decided to run. The emphasis on roleplaying, and the standard of all the posts, makes that a no-brainer!
