Don't you think Improved Unarmed Strike might be a better choice for "Big Ed"?

Possibly. I'll admit, the bouncer was something of a munchkin, taking the 1d6 (!) subdual damage sap over the much more reasonable 1d3 subdual of the unarmed strike.

Excellent little reference you have here! I'll certainly find it to come in handy here and there.

And personally, I think the bouncer is just fine with the sap, 'munchkin' or not. The little bit of extra oomph will come in handy should anyone get a little too rowdy in the tavern. He's the bouncer, after all! Has to be good at his job. :)

I think he randomly rolled their ability scores using the standard method but taking the three worst dice from each roll.
