Complete Divine Info Here - Scoop from RPGA

Huh. I wonder if this has any relation to the Evangelist class from my Alternate Clerics article in Dragon.

I'm thinking probably not, since mine was a core class. Most likely just a coincidence of name. Interested in seeing what it is, though.
Just gotta say: Great article! One of my faves.
The evangelist was my favorite class of the bunch. :)

I see no reason why it wouldn't be. As many people have commented, the Miniatures Handbook has very limited appeal. I think the designers at WotC want a spontaneously casting divine available, and the Favoured Soul is their preferred option at the moment - so it gets reprinted. Don't expect it to be changed at all.

Cheers!
The spontaneous divine caster from UA fits the niche quite nicely. I'm currently playtesting one as a cohort, and right away it feels as good if not a tad better than the core cleric.

The Living Greyhawk document restricts the use of some of the Complete Divine material. Does anyone know why?

Could it be there are *already* items known to be broken, even before the book is released?

Uhm no. Merely they just want stuff that can fit into a Greyhawk campaign. I mean do you want them to get access to Cyric's Black Flame guy?

Actually the Black Flame Zealot is a PrC for Kossuth, and is a reprint from Unapproachable East.

That's the point at which I would say "Uh - no!" I've seen no end of threads arguing that the Cleric is overpowered, and if the UA version is better... eek! ;)

However, I suspect that the sales numbers for UA and the MHb combined won't be as great as those of the Complete Divine. :) Both UA and MHb appeal to specialised audiences, unlike CD.

Cheers!
