If someone could please help me, here, I'd appreciate it.
Until recently, I could have sworn I'd read a rule in the 3.5 books that said that Conjuration spells typically don't allow spell resistance, whereas evocation does, and that one of the designers (Andy Collins) said that they had done this to allow Conjuration some more punch, and to add another "balance/counterbalance" thing for combat options. (Just like you use hold spells/will saves on the warriors, and fireballs/reflex saves on the priests, and petrifies/fort saves on the rogues)
However, not only can I NOT find this as a concrete rule anywhere I look, but the spell compendium has several Conjuration spells that allow spell resistance. Am I getting senile?
Am I just remembering some conversational talk on a messageboard from around 2003? Or is there any rules info that falls in line with this?
