Cowboy Bebop movie

Hey all you space cowboys:

Samuel Goldwyn Co. is getting ready to release the movie "Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heaven's Door" in the U.S. as "Cowboy Bebop: The Movie."

There will be dubbed and subtitled versions released.

The only problem: The MPAA gave it an R rating, for violent images. Samuel Goldwyn is appealing the rating, which means it may have to be edited.

Kewl. I've got the subbed version and enjoyed it. It's got alot of the flavor of the series though it kinda leaves Ed and Jet on the sidelines.

But it carries on the important things, humor, great character to the music, action, and it let's us see Spike again! :D

I had heard that the release, originally slated for January, has been pushed back to March.

Having seen it (the dub's not bad, but I do prefer the original voices), I can't recall what it was that justified an "R" rating. Oh well, I suppose I just need to see it again. Ah, the sacrifice.

:)

The opening song, "Ask DNA", rocks. :)

SPOILER FOR THE SERIES****

**** slightly off topic, but has anyone else decided that in their little universe spike lives past the last episode. Look at al the other crap he survives, what's one more injury. And unless I missed something there isn't a definitive answer to it.

***spoilers, also :D ***

frankly, i thought he died. not all anime series have happy endings, so it really didn't surprise me. what did surprise me is that by the end of the series we (the viewer) knew more about Vicious than Spike

Woo Hoo! Finally. Thanks for the news.

*Spoiler Answer*

Well, if you watch past the end credits, you'll notice a single bright star die in the sky. That, given the previous story about a star dying when a warrior does, as well as the story of the immortal cat dying that Spike tells Jet before he goes off to fight Viscious, have always implied to me that he dies after he kills Viscious.

Frankly, I think the story would be lessened if Spike lived, much as I like him.
