[D&D 3.5] War of the Burning Sky [OOC] [Closed]

So, a long delay in my posting followed by a wall of text. Imagine there was back-and-forth between Nelle and the PCs in that discussion. Sometimes I feel like my PCs should have a lectern.

HolyMan, I'll check Fritz's stats sometime soon. Or soon-ish. Maybe never. But probably soon-ish.

I'll post for my player's sometimes if it is not really nessacary to make a conversation seem to flow.

Anytime you want to post something for Shayllir go right ahead. All you have to do is picture Shirley Temple in leather armor and wanting to help every chance she can. ;)

Shaylir can even do the cheek pouting thing.

Really wondering about his BAB it went from +0 to +2?? and Skill points it is the strangest thing and something in my many years of playing I never noticed.

Well, they get 2 HD at once, whenever they "level up", so yeah, makes sense.

Under animal in the MM (pg. 290 table 4-1) it says they recieve 2 skill points + INT mod/HD ok no problem there it sounds normal, but an animal can't have an INT above 2 so it's modifier is -4 at best?? So that is something I don't know what to do about.

It is simply 1 Skill Point for every HD. That's the minimum. They have 2 base -4 for Int, so -2. Since that is below 1, they get 1.

Animal Companions can get quite tough, actually.

My 9th-level Ranger/Beastmaster's Cooshee companion has insane stats (AC 31, HP 84, Attack +16/+11, Damage 1d8+9, Grapple +20 with Improved Grapple).

Thanks for the info. :)

No way that is insane for a 9th lvl character I can't wait to see what Super Fritz looks like. :p

Liiros level 4!

D'oh! Forgot to level up Liiros, due to being too busy in the last few weeks. Taking care of it now. I'll update him in the Rogues' Gallery in a few minutes.

Basically Crusader 4, +1 Strength, +1 Balance, +1 Concentration, +1 Diplomacy, +1 Intimidate, +1 Swim, +1 BAB, +1 Fortitude, +1 Vital Recovery, +5 Steely Resolve, +1 initiator level, and swapping Vanguard Strike for Shield Block (a.k.a. The Tank-Maker(tm)!). More reason for folks to stay close to Liiros in combat!

And I'd second the suggestion for Spell Focus at 3rd-level for Hollister......though Spell Penetration may be useful as well, it tends to be more use at middle and upper levels than at low levels. Likewise with Metamagic feats, since most require a spell slot 2 or 3 levels higher than normal. Blistering Spell from Player's Handbook II is nice for a fire-mage, though, since it only uses a slot one level higher than normal.

Thanks! I'm still looking (last weekend was busier than expected). With that said, I'm on-call this weekend, and should be stuck at home because of it. I'll make sure I get it done.

HolyMan: The extra spell slot has to be of the highest level spells you can cast. So since that's Druid spells, it has to be a second level Druid spell slot. You can memorize any spell in that slot that is level 2 or lower on the druid spell list and of the healing subschool. Hopefully that answers your question, but I'm understanding it correctly.

I sometimes mean to respond to questions y'all post in the IC thread but forget to type my answer by the time I'm finished writing a post. Just post it again or post it here. I'll get to it.

Thanks the key word I missed while reading that feat was "slot" and I was thinking you got a free healing subschool "spell" of a higher lvl.

So I will change one of the 1st lvl cure lights by putting it under the 2nd lvl druid slot.

NP with not answering right away I know what it is like when you get an idea for postinga and all else exits the brain, LOL.

Round 2 yet? Want to see if Shaylir can hit one of those creeps. :p

Sorry about that Arkhandus; indeed Arshen doesn't speak the Sylvan tongue. Reading comprehension fail. It's probably easiest to just handwave that little mess; Arshen never needs much of an excuse to be in a sour mood anyway. ;)
