Question on the whole magic items thing. Since my character is a newborn for all intents and purposes, I was thinking I'd either skip that or have something incorporated in to its body if that's ok?

It would be practical, but is that what you want? Combat optimization isn't the reason for doing a thing. There are many paths. They do not all have to lead to the same destination.

I'm not sure where else to put this, so can I just say-- I miss my Minor Trickster forum title already. Cutpurse doesn't quite...cut it, for me.

You just need to get some more XP, then. ;) As for a magic item thingy - I dunno. Equipment and gear and magic items and such are my least favorite aspect of RPGs in general. Its why I create characters that can usually get away without having them. :p

I'm open to suggestions.

HMM. Magic items for wild-shape focused druids are a liiiiiiitle tricky, due to the rules on how items can be used between forms.

Bearing in mind that you probably won't have a LOT of time per fight in wildshape.

I wouldn't bother with a melee weapon just yet. Just carry a club or staff and use Shilleighlegh (or however it's spelled...confounded Gaelic) for now. Similarly, magical ranged attacks probably preclude the immediate need for a ranged weapon.

I'd suggest some defensive gear, perhaps? Things that could arguably be used by a fairly broad range of forms, like a Ring or Cloak of Protection...maaaaaybe Bracers of Defense... I think Rings are rare though, so that wouldn't fly...I know cloaks are uncommon.

Alternatively, utility. Consider the Bag of Holding. Now imagine that it's built into you. You have a little hatch that opens, and you can throw stuff in there. Way way more stuff than you should be able to.

The subspace buffer is a classic feature of Cybertronian chassis design. :p

Hey, what I want to see happen with Drone is an integrated Robe of Useful Items. That just seems like a great use of things popping out for no reason! If we can refluff them as internal parts falling off, so much the better.

(And having watched the Transmutate episode before having to watch some of my other favorites after that because Beast Wars, I can definitely see how that's a powerful Modrony concept to play with- and want it to meet Nordom sometime. SO good.)
