DDM: Chicks not in chainmail

The DDM line has plenty of women in decent armour. What I find lacking are:

1) Female human wizards. I believe there's only been one (Wizard Tactician) in the entire line.

2) Female human commoners. We've had "Human Commoner", "Sage", "Farmer" and even "Drunken Brawler" to provide decent NPCs, but not a single female. Those villagers must get terribly lonely.

What I'm hoping is that with this new style of packaging, Wizards will put out an NPC pack. That way, the miniatures gamers can ignore it and the roleplayers can get a decent quantity.

Ah, sexual humor. How novel.

Thankfully, DDM has generally avoided cheesecake minis, at least as far as I know. I mean, it would be a little ridiculous to try to pander with 'sexy' pieces of plastic that are an inch tall.

I'm still waiting for some female dragon minis. And yes, I can tell the difference.

19:1 sounds appropriate, if not in all ways.

Any advance on 19:1? Going, going. . .

19 to 1 hardly seems fair to me Aus.

Now if it was 19 chicks to one of me, I could probably live with that. It would depend on what they look like exactly, and what kind of actual expense was involved. But I could probably live with it.

You're upset that women have seized the game's symbolic phallus of power?

Well, I'm kinda old fashioned Rogue and I have no real problem with that. Long as they give it back to me when they finish. I might need it later on.

We need to bust out more female dwarves and half-orcs!

Or at least shave em...

I'm hoping that they will eventually have a fig for each class of every race and sex available some time down the line.

If we just count classes and races that have appeared in print in PC versions, that's 17 classes ( 8 PH1 + 8 PH2 + 1 FRCS ) * 15 races (8 PH1 + 5 PH2 + 2 FRCS) * 2 genders = 510 minis. So I'm thinking no.

I didn't say there was an agenda. I just find it puzzling they decided that out of eighteen figures, none of them needed to be a female human.

From a distance of 1-2 feet, I find it hard to tell if something is an elf, half-elf, or human who enjoys the color green.

Minis are a rough approximation. Someone coule just as easilysay that their your barbarian fights with a maul or doesnt have a beard. Unless you base your character off the mini first, something is pretty much always going to be off.

Aside from the excellent point that there are 510 potential combinations (although I bet they'll focus on the "optimized" combos first (like hafling rogues)), remember that a tremendous variety of miniatures are available in the broader market.
If the gripe is about WotC, well, I've got nothing. But if you want some particular combo, you can sure find it or something close enough to modify with a littlle green-stuff

Don't forget the Prisoner (also male) which works well as an NPC (and is a very unlikely choice for a PC). :)

I don't experience this problem at all since my minis are hand selected and painted by me. Searching for certain race/sex/trappings combos can be a bit of a challenge but its part of the fun.
