D&D 5E DnD Beyond - Why is it still so bad?

Simple question

Why after all this time is DnD Beyond still so bad? I decided for the heck of it to create a 9th level bard using the Beyond system.

Gee, cannot select the Bardic College of Valor. Only the college of Lore is a choice.

Pretty basic items to be missing for something Wizards has been talking about for months.

It isn't missing. You only get access to the Basic Rules if you're using the free version. You have to purchase their digital PHB or the class if you want to unlock the College of Valor.

It's almost like you only get access to Basic Rules content for free, but have to pay for access to the rest of the system. If only they'd been saying that for months in these discussions you've supposedly been following. Oh... wait...

...

Anyway, say what you will about the pricing. Some will like it, others won't. It's almost as if, as consumers, we have a choice about what value we place on a product and get to decide whether or not it's worth our money. I haven't spent a dime on it yet, but it's not out of the question in the future. Will it be worth it for you? Only one person can say, and that person isn't me...

So I've bought the sourcebooks or parts of the sourcebooks that have character options, so it's hard for me to check-- But-- In know that when you search for something in the compendium and an option comes up that you haven't bought and you click on it, that it will take you to the Market where you can buy it. Have they implemented anything similar with the builder? Might lead to less of these kinds of misunderstandings.

As a reference it is quite nice. The character creation seems a little clunky though. The natural order should be roll stats > pick race > pick background > pick class > pick bonus feats/skills/languages granted by race.

I like the option for homebrew spells and monsters, but they need to support homebrew character creation options.

Also, it is outrageously priced, but that has been discussed to death already.

It's just you.

Seriously, everyone else can select college of Lore. Everyone else in this thread has full access to everything for free. It's literally you, and only you, who can only access the basic level stuff which excludes things like college of Lore.

I guess they have it in for you? Maybe the creators are Sherlock Holmes fans and the feel it's their duty to thwart Doctor Moriartty?

:)

It's not so bad that someone posting here might not know that; what's really ridiculous are those that post in the D&D Beyond forums stating the same thing, literally a post or two below someone asking the same question and someone answering it, with mods and admins having the information in their signatures...

There are legitimate criticisms of D&D Beyond. I don't think this is one. You only get access to whats in the 5e SRD unless you buy the PHB, just like in the real world.
