I use pre-painted miniatures, miniatures painted by a friend, Fiery Dragon counters and counters I make myself from WotC's art gallery.

Of course, I can't vote this way in the poll as the ENWorld law that polls cannot be properly designed is still in effect.

I use Fiery Dragon counters generally (voted counters). Last session however a player brought along some D&D pre-painted miniatures to use. It definitely added a little bit over the counters.

I did vote none above.
But thats wrong.
I use all above!

Some Selfpaited, some non paunted, some prepainted
Sometimes a sheep of paper
sometimes is all in our brains

Oh somtimes i use dice as minis.

I voted None of the above in the absence of an All of the above category as well. I use prepainted, or unpainted minis, minis that I've painted myself, a whiteboard/battlemap with big x's, counters, jellybaby's, wine gums and an assortment of other sweets for the 'eat what you kill' delights.

I use everything.

Prepainted miniatures, unpainted miniatures, miniatures I've painted myself, dice, dice holders, wedding cake pillars from wedding cakes, etc... If it's appropriate scale, or even semi-appropriate, it's going in!

In our group we use just about anything and everything. The DM uses monster tokens. Most players have unpainted metal minis. Some use D&D prepainted minis for a character, animal companion or the occational monster that shows up. A couple of players have painted their minis. And then sometimes beads or dice get tossed in if a particular item or spell (such as Burning Sphere) enters play.

I use token and scraps of paper unless playing at the house of the guy with quite a few D&D mini's (the plastic ones) in which case we use those if possible

Sometimes I use Token's, dice or pennies but mostly D&D Minis.
