I used to wear a watch daily until it broke. It got to the point that it felt weird when I got dressed and didn't have it on my wrist.

Might you be allergic to nickel? One of my brothers is allergic to nickel and can't wear any watches because of the metal backing. Those with a plastic backing usually have metal screws on the edges and are enough to cause his arm to rash after several days.

Hmmmm. May be. Never asked a doctor about it, just took the easy way out and stopped wearing 'em.

But I think it's just metal in general. I can't even drink out of a aluminum can anymore.

Cell Phone for me, as well.

I never cared for wearing watches, I just couldn't get used to the feeling of it strapped
to my arm, but I used to have one with a broken strap as my key chain. Still do, in fact,
though it stopped working some years ago.

I wear a watch every day. Like one of the posters above, I feel its part of my work wear these days, as it's a nice watch my girlfriend got me for my birthday. I lost my previous watch and it bothered for months until I got the new one. I guess it's sorta OCD at this point. :p

I tend to not wear it once I get home after work and am not heading out anywhere. If I ever leave home, I gotta put it on. :)

I wear a wristwatch most of the time. I feel weird if I forget to put it on in the morning. I have a cell phone, but I usually don't wear it or otherwise have it handy.

Never did like wrist watches.

I have a pocket watch I wear once in a while.

Personally, I think there is far too much emphasis on small increments of time in our society -- hurry here, late for that, no time, no time, no time.

I dream of the day I am able to put together my Perfect House with the Perfect Library. In this room there would be no clock, no calendar, nothing to divide time. Outside the door there would be a little box saying "Leave Watches Here". Essentially time would not be allowed to enter the room.

Ah, bliss. :)

Only time I wear one is at work, since my cell phone doesn't get reception and doesn't display the time when it's looking for a signal, and I need to know the time if I go on break.

I love my watch. I broke my last one in May and didn't get around to getting a replacement until September. Although I did alright getting my time from other sources, it felt really strange not having the weight there. I'm just used to it, I guess.

Demiurge out.
