D&D 5E Does anyone who got an mm at Gencon want to offer up spoilers to us?

We've seen monsters harmed by silver and adamantine, but are there any harmed by cold iron weapons? (Demons, fey, etc)

"No" on demons, and a conditional "no" on anything else. I don't see it in a flip through, but that doesn't mean there isn't one or two hiding. I checked pixies (nothing), hags (night hag need magic/silver), and a few other places. I haven't seen any cold iron.

Thanks. I'm going to take a wild guess and say no, but who knows.

The quasit in the last playtest had this:

Damage Resistance: The quasit is resistant to cold, fire, and lightning, and to nonmagical weapons except those made of cold-‐forged iron.

So I'm guessing it was changed.

We are keeping it for our campaign (we have some plot around cold iron weapons), and might make it immunity (weapon part only) for higher level demons.

What's the CR on mephits? I'm wondering if they would make good familiars for warlocks in an elemental pact I'm pondering.

Oh, and another question about slaadi: What creature type are they? Aberration? Fiend? Monstrosity?

Thanks for the answers gents, you've been very generous with your time :)

A follow up question piggybacking on The Shadow's question: Do green, grey, and death slaad retain some kind of polymorphing/shape hanging/man-form ability like they had in the AD&D Fiend Folio or are these the non-changing versions from later editions?

Dust, ice, and magma: 1/2
Mud, smoke, and steam: 1/4

There is an imp familiar option, which would be good for infernal pact. Imps are CR 1.

Aberration. And, to answer Quickleaf, green, gray, and death slaadi are all aberration (shapechanger). Probably because of their ability to take the shape of any medium or small humanoid.

And since we are on a slaadi roll, have there been control gems for slaadi in the past? Because there are, as a variant, now.

If you rip out a control gem, you control the slaad.
