Quick question, does Clever Riposte effect trigger on Opportunity Attacks?

The rogue in my game has a Dex mod of 5.

The effect of this ability reads as follows...

Effect: Until the end of the encounter, the target takes damage equal to your Dexterity modifier each time it attacks you, and you can shift as an immediate reaction after such an attack.

So yea, would the enemy take 5 on every opportunity attack he makes against the rogue? It added up to a lot of damage in this last game vs a solo and if he takes the damage then I would assume the rogue also hets to make the shift at that moment as well (after his move that provoked). Of course he (enemy) could choose not to attack with the opportunity attack, but anyway, I was just curious.

Thanks in advance.

An opportunity attack is an attack, ergo it does. You can't take immediate actions on your turn, however, so the rogue likely can't shift in any of these instances.

Thanks for the response - it seemed like the 5 damage ticked a lot, but it WAS a solo after all so it was a longer fight. It was basically an ongoing 10 as he was hitting the rogue on it's turn (taking 5) and then getting hit for 5 again on the rogues turn as the rogue kept moving to trigger an opportunity attack.
