I want to see what they do with the first scene in the book. Y'know the one where Paul's sister Aliah (DAMN ME FOR FORGETTING HER NAME POSSIBLY!) is practicing combat in the nude with a couple of combat-bots. That's most certainly going to be cut. :D

*has been watching both his Dune DVDs all day to get in the mood* Started with the old 80's movie...just finished the newer Sci-fi one. Been waiting for this for a long time...I wonder, will they go on and finish the Dune story by making mini-series' out of the rest of the books?

((psst...this should probably be down in the TV/Movie forum))

I might be interested if Sci-fi hadn't cancelled Farscape. They can rot.

While Farscape was a great series...Dune is a CLASSIC. Dune is...just...well...Dune! Though, to be truthful, it really isn't the same without Sting...:D

Feyd is dead, anyway. I want to see Dune Messiah, and then God Emperor of Dune(i think that one it going to be shown in the mini-series as well). and is it just me, or were there WAY too many commercials?

I'm glad they included the scene where Aliah is dancing with them blades, with the kamas and all....WHOO!:D But if memory serves, she strips BEFORE she starts her practice, and the scene takes place much earlier. And I seem to remember Gurney Haleck being in that scene as well. I wish they'd have kept Patrick Stewart for that part, but then again Gurney is supposed to be rather non-handsom. I have yet to meet a woman who doesn't want that guy. damn his baldy-goodness!

Nice effects with the stoneburner by the way. Didn't expect it to be that large.

Does anyone remember what Muad'dib's daughter's name was? I remember that his son is named Leto.

Now I must wait for Hollywood to finish making the Ringworld movie. Such a great decade so far for fantasy and Sci-Fi, wouldn't you agree?
