EricN(or anyone) ET prob. can you help?

Chaz

First Post
I have a problem with my ET. Im patched up to 1.2.1. Ive put this question on CMP, but I cant get on there(site way busy I guess) to see if its been answered.

Heres the problem. When I make a New Character or New Monster and click on the Stat Block menu item I get only a blank screen instead of the info. The stat block shows up fine in print preview, just not on the char/monster roll screen.

Is this a problem or did I mess something up?

EricN, the reason I put your name in the subject line is that im wondering if I messed something up when I tried to fix something you helped another guy fix. You gave instuctions on how to fix it so the fire elemental stat block would show up. I got that working. But im wondering if i maybe messed the thing up some how? Funny thing is while it worked fine after I fixed it, now i dont get stat blocks in the Monster Generator now either.

So is this a bug or did i maybe screw the program up? Anyones help appreciated.

And if somebody did already did reply to my question on CMP's site. Sorry about putting it here also. My dialup modem wont let me in right now.

Thanks.

Thanks for replying. Maybe I didnt explain right. Print Preview and stat print works fine. Its the stat block ON screen view that you get by clicking on /stat block/ below the /DM/ choice on the left hand side column of the new char/monster screen.

Oh and for printing, yeah I do have your new statblocks, They are great. thanks for the work. :)

No, you explained it fine. What I was wondering is if you were using mine *in replacement* of the ones from CMP. If you are, it could be something in the way mine is coded that is calling for something that no longer exists or whatever.

OOOhh I see.. hmm didnt think of that. I renamed the old ones and have both available. maybe I should have left them at original names. You are pretty sharp haha. Thanks for the tip. i will try and see if i can make it work renaming the originals back to what they were..

Im hoping to go to the indy con ( have never been to a con yet) maybe i can learn something there haha. Boy I feel dumb. Thanks again for the idea on what to look into.

whatever file you have named Stat Block.xsl (in both /Character and /Monster) will be what attempts to load up on the Stat Block screen.

Eric is correct... the stat block xsl sheets _must_ be present to get the display in the program itself...

His sheet is cool and all, but we're not replacing the 'official' ones just yet, we're just gonna 'borrow' some of his ideas... maybe.... :p

Thanks Mynex, yeah I kept the old ones and used Erics to. I just named his stat block new and the old stat block original. So it was easy to fix. Thanks all. Im a little wiser now. I hope to see that ET demo at the con( if I can make it)

Thanks again.
