Favourite horror flick?

So what's your favourite horror movie?

Mine:
The Shining - Just disturbing
Psycho - It takes a while to get going, but after the shower scene it's a rollercoaster
The Ring (Japanse) - The scene of Sadako emerging is just... freaky. The American version isn't too bad either. It's a pity that The Ring 2 is quite bad.
Alien - Totally suspenseful. The AvP movie was a total aberration.

I'm gonna have to go with Alien on this one just for its all around creepiness factor, very few movies have had me seeing things in my peripheral vision like this one did as a kid.

I'm also gonna add The Exorcist, although the horror there is perhaps more psychological and more effective on me having been raised Catholic.

The Prophecy; you know, with Christopher Walken and, um, Viggo Mortenson. It's not "oh, crap, that's scary!", but it's very frightening philosophically.

I HATED the Blair Witch Project. It gave me a headache, and was more annoying than scary. I was rooting for the Witch.

The Haunting
The Robert Wise original from 1963, not the awful remake from a few years ago.

Truly an excellent film!

I might also add The Others -- very atmospheric, claustrophobic and suspenseful, not merely splatterings of blood. In the end, horror is not about death, but about fear.
