Well, it's inclusion in Tasha's mean it has, at minimum, the same satisfaction threshold the new PHB options need...and we don't really know how popular Tasha's options were, though WotC does.I’m not sure it does. Would WotC have given Larian access to the data to determine if it was popular?
Not to say that I think the wild magic Barbarian isn’t popular. I’m just not sure its inclusion in BG3 reliably indicates its popularity.
