First try at a character sheet

It looks very "professional" and there are things about it that I like better than the WotC sheets. I also like sheets formatted for legal paper.

That said, it scrolls rather slowly and "chunkily" in Foxit PDF. I can't comment on its performance in Adobe Acrobat, since I hate using that bloatware and don't even have it installed.

The Languages box is a little small for some campaigns, and once you get to higher levels, the money boxes will be too small. There is no box for Astral Diamonds for those that use them (I don't).

Skills section could use a box for bonuses.

Class line has no room for PP and ED.

There is no box for a character portrait or coat-of-arms or whatever. Some people don't care (like me), but others will.

One of the things I liked about the WotC sheet is the way that the stats are grouped together and show how they go toward deriving your defences. So, there might be a more pleasing way to group stats/defences. This is probably just a matter of personal preference though.

I like your sparing, yet clear use of colours and embellishments.

Pretty good overall. I am going to show this to my wife; she's really picky about how her sheets are arranged, but I suspect she might like this one.

Thanks for the input. I've been looking at it too many of the last few waking hours to catch many things. A few of those changes are quick and easy. A couple will take a little re-arranging. Here's to attempt number 2.

Is it not too close to the edges? Most printers need to grip the paper somewhere, so the very top, very bottom and sides have an area they can't actually print to.

The file is actually 13.5 x 8 which leaves 1/4 inch on all sides for printer margins. Because of lack of proper design software, I was forced to do it that way instead of set page margins.

After feedback, here are a couple more sheets. Both of them have the same basic design, but there are a couple of differences to cater to preferences.

Nice tweaks.

Another thing you might consider is having "add-on" sheets for things like Rituals (if not room for entire descriptions, then page number and book references). Additional power space on separate add-on sheets would be handy as well for Wizards and Mages (and Swordmages with spellbooks). Modular designs like yours would work well for this, I think.

Simple additional sheets

I don't have a character that uses rituals so I'm not entirely sure what would be best to use for them. Here is one try at a simple layout, as well as an additional powers page. I put more room for non-attack powers as well.

The additional powers sheet is just what you'd need for a Wizard or Mage, especially if you like the feats that give you more choices for your spellbooks as much as I do.

The Ritual one is also pretty decent. That would be enough space for most rituals, I think, and more than you'd need for some, but better to have too much space than not enough, I suppose.

Very impressive sheet! It looks quite shiny and polished. The add-on sheets for extra powers and rituals have eliminated most of my criticisms of the original sheet. The original sheet would have been perfect for a Heroic tier character, but the add-ons allow the sheet to stay relevant right though Epic.

More space, however, may need to be allotted for feats and class features. Eight feat slots won't carry a character very far. Personally, I would think that to be somewhat more important than having all that extra space for campaign notes.
