Here's a tip: don't get dumped soon before graduating college. It gets much harder after that! So, single with prospects (whether they'll work out is anyone's guess ;)).

Several of my... erm... SOs have been gamers, though. A majority in fact.

My wife played once while we were dating. She still shows some interest now and then but overall thinks that there is a better way to spend her time.

Married to a non-gamer.

I can't believe how many people say their S.O. 'tollerates' their gaming.

Psh, if my wife didn't tollerate my gaming, we'd have a world of trouble here. She doesn't have to play or even like it, but the day I start getting dirty looks or comments or harassment because I've been playing or writing a campaign or somesuch, well.. someone'd be sleeping on the couch!

I'm sure someone would then pose the question.. "So, is your gaming more important than how your wife feels?!" and I'd say no, but she married a gamer and knew so ahead of time. She already had a chance to back out lol. As long as it's not drugs, getting trashed every weekend, dangerous, life-threatening, hurting anyone, or spending more than.. say.. $50 a week on it, then I better not get any lip lol. Especially since she's a World of Warcraft addict :P

But yeah, she knows how much I love playing DnD. Surgery? hahaha didn't stop me from playing DnD games on my PC or EverQuest, I can rest when I'm dead afterall! Bribe me with sex? yar yar I can do that any time, with or without you!

About the only thing I'd rather be doing than DnD is spendin' time with the little ones, but after a week of being a stay-home Dad, you're darn right I'm out the door on a Friday night to game faster than my wife can say "be home before 3 am!" (which I'm usually not haha).

.....I really shouldn't make posts at 2:30 in the morning. It's going to seriously get me into trouble one day.....

Oh, and I wasn't socially inept during my formative gaming years, either. Even though EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND and most of the entire summer time I was having DnD marathons with my friends, I still had time for a little action. I might not have had a girlfriend all the time, but I'd like to think I did ok for myself. Better than most of the other guys in my group, but not as good as my friends Matt or Shane. Matt always had a girl and Shane.. well, he did too, but he often dated pretty low on the totem poll, if you know what I mean hehe.. (Hi Shane, if you're reading this!)

Living with my girlfriend, who games regularly but probably wouldn't call herself a gamer (if that distinction makes any sense to anyone but me).

Living with my SO and our kids. She started gaming when she was a kid and played in my games when we met and did her fair share of Evercrack too. She's on something of a gaming hiatus right now but has been known to dust off the dice when I run games for the little 'uns and can sit back and shoot the gaming breeze with the best of 'em.

I've been single for the last 5 years and likely to be so for the immediate future. It's not that I'm averse to the idea of being in a relationship, but it's definitely not a priority, partly because I'm just so happy with my current setup. And yes, D&D is a bigger priority - I turned down a date to go game a couple weeks ago :D

Married for 2.5 years to a non-gamer. She lets me do my gaming stuff; I let her spend hours at the gym, coach volleyball, & go to dog shows.

It works very well, actually.

Married to my wonderful gaming wife for the last six years. Matter of fact we just had our first little one, and he already has his very first d20. A great big soft fuzzy one to be sure, but he still has one.
