There is only one band that is Kings.......and that is MANOWAR!!!

But seriously....Manowar is one hell of a piece of gaming music to me....

With songs like "Haill and Kill", "Kill With Power", "Crown and the Ring", "Heart of Steel"......and others, you can not go wrong with Manowar....

A also good choice for gaming music would be Blind Guardian....they're "Nightfall in MiddleEarth" album rocks for that purpose.....

Hail, Brother! :)

I had no idea I had so many fellow Manowar fans on these boards... I guess I shouldn't be so surprised, eh?

I had to vote "other" because my group has had an overwhelmingly negative reaction to any attempt to include background music in the game.

You should come to Poland, man......almost everyone that is into metal is a Manowar fan.....really.......it is a darn shame that Manowar still has not gave a live performance here...

But I'm getting OT:D

Hail to all Brothers of True Metal!!!

Hail to all Brothers of True Metal!!!

I have a copy of the Hell On Earth tour on DVD. God, it looked so incredible! I'd gladly go anywhere in Europe / Asia, just to see them in concert, if only I could afford it!!!

Glad to have met you, bro! Death To False Metal! :)

Music is virtually essential for our group. It really adds to the feel of whatever situation the characters are in.

We entirely use soundtracks. LotR obviously is in there, but we use soundtracks from a myriad of different movies (Braveheart, Conan, The Mummy, Stargate, Waterworld, First Knight, Cutthroat Island, etc), anime (Escaflowne, Lodoss, Brain Powerd, Fatal Fury, Slayers, Evangelion, etc), and video games (Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger/Cross, Xenogears/Saga, Suikoden, Grandia, Zelda, Dragon Warrior, etc).

We make sure that we use it at the appropriate times, so that it never gets repetitive (along with a 300-disc CD player).

The Suikoden soundtrack from both 1 and 2... number 3 just doesn't do it for me. But for particulary evocative scenes the 'Theme of Sadness ~ Guitar Version' definitevely does the job.
The Theme of the Advancing Army is a good one too. The music from Wild Arms is good too... especially the number 'a post apocalyptic world' very moody for when the main villian just wiped a village clean of it's citizens, the hero's being just one day to late to prevent it from happening... :D

P.S. before I forget... Planescape: Torment has a good sountrack too.
