GM found! 0-level funnel pending!

Ok, I have a question that I will try and find an answer to but if I see an answer here first, that would work too.

Do weapon sizes matter in DCC? can a small halfling use the flail that a medium sized creature was using?

First:
Halflings prefer to battle with a
weapon in each hand. A halfling is trained in the
use of the club, crossbow, dagger, handaxe, javelin,
shortbow, short sword, sling, and staff. Halflings
usually wear armor – it’s much safer, you
know.

Any weapon not on that list uses a die lower on the dice chain to attack. As for weapon size, I think all weapons are the same for everyone. I recall reading something to that effect in the rulebook but I can't seem to find it now.

I think we have plenty of space for a third player and I can't imagine Deuce Traveler or Scott DeWar objecting since they are in other games with you. They can let us know their thoughts on the matter but I think a new player would help pick things up a bit (we've been lagging a little).

I don't know how much you've read (you don't need to have read any of the past postings) but we currently have six characters, three each run by the players (two wizards and a halfling for Scott; a wizard, cleric & dwarf for Deuce). Do you have experience with Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG? If you do, great; if not, that's ok, we'll work it out. Hardcore DCC would have you bring in four zero level characters and you would play them until you have enough experience to advance and play the survivors as leveled characters. You are free to do that if you wish but you can bring in 1st level characters if you want. There is a great character generator at Purple Sorcerer Games; feel free to use it to make up to three 1st level PCs.

Any questions or comments feel free to post here.

Well, I don't know. On FB, I have asked 100 times to send food to me or adopt me so I can eat some of what was posted on fb. I got nuttin. Oh, what the heck. Sure.

Weeellllllll, DT will probably weigh in at some point. Until then, I can address the questions raised:

1) Nope, haven't played a lick of DCC. I am enjoying learning Castles and Crusades and re-familiarizing myself with d20 Modern, though, so I'm willing to go out on a limb and learn DCC. New systems seem to be intriguing me these last few months.

2) Work obligations will probably preclude me from reading all 12 pages of the OOC, but I can at a minimum read the five pages in the IC and skim the 12 pages here. I will scope out the Purple Sorcerer Games character generator and report back in a couple/three days.

3) Tets, get your happy behind to me in Indiana and then we can talk about dinner and adoption. Hop to it, man. Food's not coming to you in TN. If that's a no-go, then you and I will have to content ourselves with recipe swapping on FB.

DCC is old-skool D&D in flavor like C&C. Mechanics can be a little quirky at times but I think they are fun. As for our game, I don't really see any great need to read the old posts unless you just want to do so and certainly no need to read old OOC posts. This is the ideal time to bring in characters since the group has just rescued a woman from sacrifice to a demonic creature and come to a town to find out more about the demon so they can combat it. Plenty of villagers to draw characters from.
