GM found! 0-level funnel pending!

Ok, this is probably going to be a huge image... And yes, this is the entire equipment list. Excluding armor and weapons which you can't afford yet.

If you want, you can flavor the gear you acquire as coming from grateful villagers but I would like to move this scene along and get to the meat of the adventure.

By the way, there are some good resources here. Character sheets, compiled tables, etc.

btw: Jack Vance is a really overly-flowery writer. Dialogue is terrible, use of words like "avaunt!" and "circumspectitude" is fine and well for narration or poetic prologue, but in dialogue? seriously? what guy is going to say to some "damsel" that he's just met "hast thou fortitude to alight hence from this perplexitude?" It's like this doctor I had who used really big words to sound important, but ended up sounding pompous.

I re-read some Skylark books by Doc EE Smith recently. Same thing in some ways, really old fashioned language. But even more off putting was the really old fashioned sexism.

Cheers.

And done. Shopping time.

What do you guys think about my characters trying to sell a few items, like the holy symbol? Even if I only get half my gold back I can then afford more food and such. Hell, if we can sell the cow we can probably get some leather clothing. Right now I only have a total of 115cp or so. If I was going to make a purchase with that, it would mostly be on food.

I didn't even make 115cp in total :(

I think it might be worth holding onto the crowbar and mirror. They may be useful. The holy symbol as well, although hopefully not. 115 cp will cover a reasonable starting selection. I think most of us so far have just bought a couple of days rations, some torches and the misc-maybe-useful item. My total purchase came to less than 100cp.

He urges his cow, Betsy, forward ...
This made me laugh at loud. "He's bringing the cow!"
