Took the family to see it today. What a great shoe. Do yourself a favour and go see it. I doubt it will disappoint.
Beano, Dandy and 2000AD where the big three British comics, and about the only ones readily available where I grew up.Indeed. I not only read Marvel and DC comics but also Gold Key, Comely Comics, First Comics, The Beano, The Dandy, and 2000 AD.
For point of reference that you might understand, @Morrus, comparing Iron Man to Guardians of the Galaxy is like comparing Red Dwarf to Blake's 7. Neither of them are Doctor Who, but one is clearly more well known then the other.
Edit: Though come to think of it, Blake's 7 is probably significantly more well known than the Guardians were before the movie. I hope my point makes sense, anyway.
I remember all of those!Yeah something like Terrahawks or Tomorrow People or even Space Cops might be more comparable to Guardians as opposed tho Blake’s 7 which at the time had a good following. ie those other ones existed but hardly anyone remembers them
There's a photosensitive trigger warning at the start of the film, but there should probably be trigger warnings for animal cruelty and body horror as well.
I'm a comic book expert. I've owned a comic store for 30 years. I have an encyclopedic knowledge. The only reason I knew much about most of the characters used in the first movie was because they had a very successful launch a few years before the film (which is what inspired the film in the first place, though they used a slightly different mix of characters).I was born in 1981 and grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs. I never got into Marvel comics. I was aware of Iron Man (and Captain America and Thor) before the movies showed up but had never heard of the Guardians of the Galaxy before.
