I would refer you to Treantmonks first video from yesterday: as a reference tool at the table, this is a pretty big improvement, and wordings if the rules are more efficient and tight. The vague possibly false hope there will be any actual improvements worth the effort to bring into my games, and a long-standing philosophical preference for running games--especially if I open my tables to new players--that are in print.
A) I don't like watching videos, especially for things like this--I read so quickly that reading is practically always quicker for me; and B) nothing I've seen from the new book is really an improvement.I would refer you to Treantmonks first video from yesterday: as a reference tool at the table, this is a pretty big improvement, and wordings if the rules are more efficient and tight.
OK, he does a pretty good job of keying I'm on the changes to the rules themselves, aside from Class retrofits which most of the press has been about.A) I don't like watching videos, especially for things like this--I read so quickly that reading is practically always quicker for me; and B) nothing I've seen from the new book is really an improvement.
And plain old human nature. We are more likely to contact a business over bad service or products than reach out over good service. I called a store to praise one of their clerks and there was genuine surprise and gratitude. They were geared up for a complaint. As of this post, 50% of the responses were going to buy this and still will, but the comments are majority negative/no. I'm sure that's called a reverse ratio and explains the current state of conversation in D&D circles.
Not really. I'm leaning slightly towards getting it but I might just borrow it via Beyond from one of my DM friends who will inevitably get it - but I guess if they don't in the first couple of weeks I probably will, so one of us has it, or I might just because I want to look at the pretty pictures or w/e lol. The reveals have shown that despite improvements, there's nothing mindblowing and some serious missteps like the lack of background customization (which is absolutely clinically insane design when they say that to use 2014 backgrounds, just pick whatever stats, skills, feat you want, as was recently revealed!).Just a quick poll. There is lots of information on the PHB out ther enow. Have those revelations altered your intentions?
I have been more interested in those since the beginning!I'm actually kind of more interested to see the DMG and the MM in a lot of ways.
