I actually liked this one, in all honesty.

My tiny bit of archery knowledge, the lack of a proper English Longbow, and having endured so many trick shooters online who have "rediscovered secret ancient techniques" just kept me from enjoying it at all.

Edit: Ah, someone answered that. She's Eleanor. Don't recall her ever ruling...at least England Proper. She had her own lands (which made for a weird situation with Richard where he was King and yet also a vassal of sorts)...but I don't recall Robin Hood happening in those lands.

Eleanor was the administrator of England while Richard was off on the crusades - its going to be interesting to see how Johns rebellion is going to play out in this story. It would certainly help with the 'Game o Thrones' angle

Frankly, making her a villain isn’t much of a stretch.

For collectors of historical trivia, there is an old pub near me called The Dolphin. It is said that is named after Prince Louis, dauphin of France who stayed in the village during a failed attempt to put him on the throne instead of John.

I note no one has mentioned The New Adventures of Robin Hood series from the late 90s. I only vaguely remember it myself.
