D&D 5E House Rules

Do You Use House Rules / Restrictions in your 5e Game?

That is very insulting. People play, accept, imagine, and enjoy different things. It is not poor judgment to play something you enjoy.
That's why I specified a "serious" campaign. There are ways to enjoy 5E without house rules, but not if you're trying to take it seriously. There are just too many problems, if you care enough to actually look for them.

Again that is insulting to assume people aren't taking it seriously because they don't think like or enjoy the same things as you. If you can't see that, well your just not taking it seriously enough.

I think you just have a different definition of what hit points are than I do, which is why you refuse to play in a campaign that doesn't use house rules to fit your definition. Am I correct?

No, @Saelorn understands quite well what HP represent in 5e. They just think it’s objectively bad design for them to represent that.

I have no problem with calling out a lack of critical thinking, when I see it. We can't fix anything without identifying the problems, and if the problem is on the user end, then there's nothing that can be done. If you choose to take that personally, then I'll just put you back on Ignore, so you don't have to deal with any aspect of reality that offends your delicate sensibilities.

Maybe then the rest of us can have a productive discussion about which problems can be successfully addressed with house rules. Like underwater combat, for example.
