How do like your PDFs?

Bookmarks on the side are perfect. Links from the table of contents are largely useless. Document inlinking to the spell's description or so on is great too (though I've only run into that in the SRD).

And whatever you do, make SURE you include them. I've bought 2 products recently, both over 40 pages, NEITHER have bookmarks. :( I'm just happy you are actually thinking about them ahead of time.

OK, great! Looks like I'm done then because I already had the side bookmarks in there. Another caveat is they are much easier for me to do in Indesign and personally I don't like inline bookmarks. :)

No problem there. We didn't do them in our first iteration of Legends of Avadnu and we got some flak for that.

Thanks for all the help guys!

Psion-
Provide both a landscape and a portrait format document, or provide both flavors of bookmark in a landscape document?

I think you mean the former, but I'd like to be sure.

Yes. The former. Portraits are more screen readable than landscapes are printworthy.

Are there a lot of PDFs which use landscape format? I never came across one. What are the collective thoughts on landscape vs. portrait?
