I despise leftovers

I don't mind leftovers, but I'll echo Crothian's sentiments that it's all in the preparation. When reheating pizza, try dribbling a little water on it before you throw it in the oven (or toaster oven). As a matter of fact, this can work with lots of stuff. For example, if there's not enough sauce on it already, throw your pasta in a pot, add a little water, and heat slowly on the stove top.

good points on reheating with a little extra water. With a little extra time in the preperations there is very little difference between leftovers and the orignal meal.

Am I the only one who absolutely despisses most leftover food? The only exceptions are Pizza and Lasagna. The rest I hate with a passion. The worst is holiday food leftovers like turkey and ham. Which unfortunately I am eating right now due to having nothing else to eat, ugggh.

Galeros, I feel a genuine kinship with you. I frigging HATE leftovers, except for one kind: pizza. (I'm not a lasanga fan to begin with).

My wife is enjoying her turkey-this-and-that week, and I'm eating macaroni every night. At least it ain't reheated. ;)

Yeah, it took me years to learn this. The microwave just turns food into warm rubber. I just heated up a big platter of rice, lamb, and stuffed grape leaves in the oven - 400 degrees for about 20 minutes, and it came out great. If you microwave that stuff, it gets all dry and nasty.

Agreed--I hate the microwave. When I heat up leftover pizza, I *always* use the oven.

(Is it lame that I now have two posts in a "leftover preparation" thread? :) )
