I have PHB I

Can someone help me out here, I can't find the tables for saving throws. Does this mean the effects of a Rod, Staff, or Wand can't be saved against? A Sorcerer with a wand will be unstoppable!

I have a problem with CDs in D&D because the actors seem to assume an awful lot about the players. You might hear, for instance, a big booming voice saying something like "Thief, can you pick the lock on that door?" It presents a problem because 1) A party member apparantly has a big booming voice, 2) There is a character named Thief in the party (or is in fact open about stealing) and 3) All thieves can pick locks. -It does not jive at all with my group.

Now I hear there is a CD in the sleeve of the PHB I, how have they handled these obstacles this time around?

They did. The voice is now soft and feminine, the character is named Bombo, and they ask Bombo to pick the lock, he says he does not have that skill, and they tell him that he is not playing a thief correctly.
Problem solved.

Phew, thank God!

Only 125,000 XP to reach level 20???? Have they lost their minds? A plain old orc is worth, what, 10XP? A few hundred for a troll. Man, I'll be 36th level in no time, although I guess I'll have to wait for the expert box to cover levels 20-36.

You mean Companion and Master sets, don't you?

And I want to know where the cleric vs undead tables are. How is my cleric supposed to turn undead without a table? And the DM's evil cleric keeps threatening to turn the paladin. Where's the damn table, WotC? Is this a question I'm going to have to submit to the sage?

I’m having difficulty finding the level caps for demi-human characters. Obviously, it has to be in there somewhere... I mean, how much sense would it make for an elf to be able to reach any level a human could?
