Valda advances past the fallen giants, through the opening into the room with the two young giants. She lashes out in a fury at the nearest giant.

Quinn sees the wall collapse and moves to get line of sight at one of the two young giants engaged by Valda. He summons another bolt of starlight which streaks at the giant. The bolt slams into one of the creatures bathing it with glimmering light.

OOC: Move: Going to move to BD45 or there about so I can attack YHG1 or YHG4 and be out of the way of Cordit.
Action casting guiding bolt at whichever of the two young giants engaged with Valda that is still standing. Guiding bolt at a young hill giant.: 1d20+10 29 4d6 17.

Also @FitzTheRuke the difficult terrain from my Ice Storm went away at the end of Round 2.

The young giant's attempt at an ambush mostly turned against them, as the first through the breach had fallen quickly and then Valda and Quinn used the hole to advance out of the hallway and into the room. This was the chief's bedchamber, obvious by the trophies on the walls and the oversized bed and equally oversized twin wooden chests. There was the skin of a large bear on the floor, which was built from the flat-side of split logs.

Quickly it was spilled with the blood of young giants, as Valda hacked down the first before the second lunged at her with a club that must have belonged to the chief - it was a little too large for him. Still, he wielded it with the skill of a grown giant (clumsy to the eyes of a skilled swordswoman such as Valda, but with great force). She would have been struck with a mighty blow, but Quinn whipped up a quick curse that made the giant just unlucky enough that his blow slid at an angle off of Valda's shield. Then Quinn struck him in the chest with a bolt that made him glow softly in the light of the chamber's large hearth-fire.

OOC: Quinn used that Cosmic Omens to stop Valda from taking 24 damage! Valda killed YHG4. YHG1 is on his last legs, having been hurt previously.

Hearing a ruckus behind him, Jack turned to see the rest of the party engaged with yet more giants. Assessing that they had things well in hand, he refocused his attention on one of the two larger giants towards the back of the room.

Crouching, he moved across the floor towards one of the huge beds, using it for cover. Peering around the bedpost he then lowered his crossbow and aimed towards the brut's face, giving a silent prayer to the gods of luck while doing so.

OOC: Jack moves to BE51 and uses the bed for cover to hide using a bonus action. He then attacks HGS1 using the sharpshooter feat. He spends a luck point to turn the miss into a hit.
Cunning action (hide): 1D20+13 = [13]+13 = 26

Crossbow attack using sharpshooter: 1D20+5 = [3]+5 = 8
1D8+16+5D6 = [5]+16+[2, 6, 1, 2, 3] = 35

Crossbow attack with sharpshooter (Lucky): 1D20+5 = [8]+5 = 13
1D8+16+5D6 = [8]+16+[5, 2, 1, 4, 3] = 39

OOC: @FitzTheRuke I think we ready to roll the round here? And regarding Jack's action, I wasn't sure if he could break line of sight using the beds from the giant he attacked, so feel free to remove the extra sneak attack damage if not (24 damage instead of 39).

Bible dispatched the last of the young giants in the private bedchamber.

With all that was going on, the giant furthest south wasn't ready for it when Jack's quarrel struck him in the stomach. He was so shocked by the pain that he turned and ran westward, stumbling and holding his wound.

The others looked at each other for a moment, and then continued to hurl chunks of wood from the woodpile. Two blocks went over Jack's head and slid across the floor behind him. Then Cordit bounded into the space, and a block of wood struck her square in her big ape-nose, which made her howl, "Aaoooowrr!"
