Jack slipped into the room and past Bible and Valda while quickly drawing his blades. Seeing the guard now prone, he lashed out viscously while quickly scanning the rest of the room.

Turning toward Quinn he hissed, "There's another giant further in near some doors!"

Quinn looks towards Jack.

"Anything I could do to stop it from running would cause Cordit to lose his ape form. I will do what I can."

Quinn steps to the side to get a better view into the room and then begins to cast a spell. as he does the air around him begins to cool. As he finishes the spell he points and the cool air moves and the air around the hill giant Jack indicated begins to condense into chunks of ice that rain down onto it and several of the younger giants nearby.

OOC: Moving over to BB38 to get line of site.

Action: Casting Ice Storm on BB55. Anyone in a 20 ft radius must make a DC18 Dex save or take Ice storm bludgeoning damage: 2d8 10 and Ice storm cold damage: 4d6 10. Save for half. Area is difficult terrain until the end of my next turn.

I think that is the best position to hit HG2 and the two closest young hill giants. The spell has a 300 ft range so should be good.

Unfortunately that is the best I can do without dropping concentration on the Polymorph spell.

Quickly the group had the giantess surrounded, and they nearly had her down when she managed to get a hold on her greatclub. She stood, swinging it wildly around her, and she caught Valda with a glancing blow.

Quinn's spell erupted to the south, showering the north-west part of the room with large hailstones and freezing rain. The giant, who had been out of sight when the door was opened, stumbled about as he charged forth to aide his kin and he only just reached Jack in time to raise his club.

The giant youths scrambled about - two of them running for a room to the north-east, and two of them taking cover behind beds while they threw poorly-aimed blocks of wood from a woodpile near the fireplace. The wood hit the floor with a thump and slid down the hall toward the invaders.

Two other youths had been in the area of Quinn's spell, and they stumbled and were beaten by hailstones before scrambling to freedom. One fled eastward, taking cover behind the walls, and the other southward, yelling for help in a thick slow giant subdialect that betrayed his entire lack of any education.

Cordit was too large to make her way past Quinn & Bible without shoving them aside, but she managed to squeeze a big hairy arm through the doorway and reach the giantess, who she grabbed by the hair and yanked hard, slamming her into the open door (and nearly breaking it). The giantess fell to the floor, unconscious.

OOC: Thanks for the bump! Valda took 26 bludgeoning. Cordit (with disadvantage) managed to take the last of the giantess' HP out, at exactly 0, so I'm saying she's KO'd rather than killed.

Though Wathe bit deep into the giant's thigh, he did not fall, and instead lifted his club (which nearly brushed the Steading's high rafters) and brought it down on Bible in retaliation.

OOC: Bible takes 17 bludgeoning. You can take another shot, I think, and I've still got a 2nd attack for the giant. We'll trade 'em until anyone else gets involved. @VLAD the Destroyer @Shadowedeyes @Lidgar

Quinn sees the young giant yelling for help and curses. Making sure he is within range he calls on the power of the stars and fires a bolt of starlight at the fleeing giant. The bolt strikes the giant before it can get away. Quinn then moves aside so that Cordit can get by and into the fray. Quinn moves in behind the polymorphed halfling.

OOC: Action: Casting a 3rd level guiding bolt at YHG2. Guiding bolt at YHG2: 1d20+10 26 6d6 25. I should have range to hit the target. If not I'll move forward to get in range.
Move: I will step out of the way to let Cordit in then move in behind them if possible.
