(IC) Against the Giants PBP Group 2

OOC: Sorry, was travelling for work. BTW @Kobold Stew, isn't Kahru in the room bashing the first giant? Closing the door will shut him in. With the door shut, Gimlak loses line of sight so can't really do anything
OOC: not closing the door, but trying to block any exits. I should have typed CO instead of CN. TYhe colonel is trying to draw fire and prevent anyone leaving the room. Sorry if that isn't clear. I was delinquent and wanted to post right away.

OOC:
Ah, delinquency. The bane of 1950s movies about the youth and Willie Nelson's relationship with the IRS.

He {The Giant} dropped a rucksack that was under his arm, and he grabbed a large pair of pliers from his belt. Then he stumbled out into the hallway, still clutching at his face with one, bloody hand.

OOC: btw the first giant stumbled out of the room into the hallway, so thats where Kahru is fighting it - so Gimlak still has line of sight on that one

I guess the Colonel is making sure the second giant isnt emerging from the room to join its buddy in the hallway

OOC: I'm sorry -- I messed up my move. It's one round, and I'll focus next round. It's clear I've made a mistake, but will be betterin round 2.

Donnell held the weak dwarf as he drank, and the powerful liquid helped to steady the fellow on his feet, "Mm'grateful, laddie. Jost gimme a wall t'lean on, an' I'll be raight as stone soon enoof."

Gimlak's orc was able to stand on his own, and he only grunted his appreciation for being freed, but Gimlak could tell from the look in his eyes that it meant more than he could say. At any rate, there was too much to do to spend time with niceties.

Kahru lunged to meet the big giant torturer in the hall, and he side-stepped the giant's attempt to clamp onto him with the pliers. Waythe sang out as she plunged deep into the giant's side, getting past the very thick fabric of the giant's stained apron. When Kahru pulled her free, the giant stumbled and fell flat on his masked face, dead.

The giant's body took up much of the room in the short hallway, but the Colonel leaped over and stood by the doors, getting his first glimpse of the other giant, who was very similar in dress, if slightly shorter in build. He had dropped his own rucksack and now held something that looked like a one-handed club, but flat like a paddle, and a thing in his other hand that looked like a really large meat-hook.

He rushed at the Colonel, and though the old soldier was prepared to defend himself, the flat paddle struck him hard, mashing him against the door. The giant pulled the paddle back to see if he'd squashed a bug, and when he saw the Colonel still breathing, he came at him with the meat-hook. This time, the Colonel was fast enough to dodge, and the hook left a splintered mark in the heavy wood of the door.

Leaving the Orc, Gimlak crossed the room to a point where he could see the giant, and he attacked his mind - selfish, slow, and mean, like much of his kin. The giant shook his head, confused, though his focus was still on the Colonel.

OOC: Uh... I have the Colonel, after taking 23 damage from the "paddle", at ONE HP. Did I miss some healing somewhere? Kahru Killed HGT2, Gimlak did 5 to HGT1. Try to help me remember that he'll have Disadvantage on his next round's attack.

Doc watches Hoss advance to the door, bravely standin' athwart that entrance and takin' a vicious hit from the Big Ugly inside, while he saw his compadre fell Doc's target with that bothersome sword. Gonna have to pay a little attention to that; a man with a pistol is one thing, but a pistol with a man is bad news.

Doc suddenly realized that the Big Ugly did a lot more than rough up Hoss, and feelin' a pang o' something he hadn't felt in some lonesome time, Doc quickly moved to a position to provide some cover for Hoss. He loosed off two quick shots from the peacemaker; the first hit its mark, but the second? Not even close.

Sheriff told me that attachments ain't got no business with a gunslinger. Only mess up the aim.

OOC:
Doc moves to CL65 (Doc ignores terrain). This gives clear line of sight through door to target.
Doc moves Hex to HGT1 (bonus action).

First Shot, Second Shot: 1D20+9 = [10]+9 = 19
1D20+9 = [1]+9 = 10

A hit and a miss.

Damage: 1D10+5 = [7]+5 = 12
3D6 = [4, 6, 4] = 14
1D6 = [6] = 6

32 damage to HGT1
