Round 1: Overview
The laborer pointed out the party to a group of five cutters and a spell slinger, Mr. Black seeing this called out to alert the party. The group of six slowly advanced on the pantry weapons drawn, spells cast but not released watching you all prepared for anything. As Mr. Black began to go back inside, the old spell slinger sent the spell flying at the front and back doors. Fingernails flew past tavern members sticking into the wall creating hundreds of grasping hands on the walls surrounding the front door, and the wall for the back door. The spell entangled both Mr. Black and Bimble, Luke Cinders who was exiting the back door managed to escape the grasping hands. Wawaate slams his fist into his hands, and pulls out a spear. The air around him grows cold, frost and an ice sheen spreads across his body. Preparing for the oncoming combat. Mr. Black throws a dagger at the caster hoping to break the spell concentration, the dagger hits the wall as the hands throw off his accuracy. Bimble has Rao defend him as he tries and break free of the grasping hands. As Luke Cinders enters the alleyway he prepared his crossbow for the oncoming battle.

Luke:
The only way for them to know is if you were to slip up in the conversation or reveal it somehow. While they aren't hardheads the 'right' to detain someone is more about the ability and the answer is yes. If they detain the party they will take you to the gate house their headquarters, they are generally concerned with helping the downtrodden then enforcing law.

Sigil's Turn:
The City of doors, It contributes to a balance at the center of the multiverse. Pulling in Law, Chaos, Good, and Evil with indifference. This round spews out absolutely nothing,

Round 2: (Enemeys, Party, Sigil)
The Gaunt women looks at the group with a grim expression, a spell cast but not released. "Tell us what you are doing in the hive, or you won't leave this tavern alive." Without a spellcraft Mr. Black you see the components she has of snake tongue and honey, this is a compulsion spell at the ready. The others seem to be holding their actions. The pantry patrons begin to clear the main hall pressing up against the walls.

"I don't want trouble. This is, literally, my first meal in the hive. What do you want to know?"

He pulls himself loose of the hands and crouches low, defensively.

1. Buying time. I know the spell will last less than a minute.
2. Dropping down on my knees to give a clear shot if anyone wants it (free action)
3. (action) readying to cast Obscuring Mist for the moment the hands drop but before her new spell goes off.
Obscuring Mist will break line of sight and prevent her from targeting anyone, unless the target is herself. Verbal and Somatic so no material components to give her any tells.

I failed my spellcraft check but my character, being a beguiler, would know the mystic association of a serpent's tongue being some kind of charm person or similar spell. I don't know what it is but I know it's not Charm Person because I have that spell.
