"Mordrigaarz, blood."
Luke gives a nod at the bashers who turned up unexpected.

"Couple of clueless just fell through the Cage, and I was lucky enough to be there to give ’em the dark and keep ’em pointed the right way. Then we got roped into huntin’ down some poor sod gone missing. And now these addle‑coves reckon they’re 'helpin' my primes. The woman’s the spell‑slinger…"

He shifts to a spot where he’s got a clean line on her, ready to loose the moment she starts weavin'.

"I'd rather not drop any of the Bleakers, but once the scrap starts, all jink’s off the table. I’d like to dodge a tussle if I can. You figure you can put a few of ’em on the floor without the rest twiggin’ to it? Maybe a charm or somethin’ subtle?"

Bimble

After the jump and some muffled attacks, Bimble directed Rao next to Mr Black in front of the witch. He checked the man out, and got a sense that he seemed to be in control of his means. Staring at the spellcaster, he defiantly said: "we don't want trouble, but we'll protect our own!"

OOC: Both Bimble and Rao will ready an action and attack the spellcaster if she casts

Round 3: Conversations
The gaunt women clears her throat and says "Harassing patrons and looking for barmies, your the sodding berk's we've been hunting for murder!" ((Convincing her otherwise will require a diplomacy check and a good one at that to convince her or surrender. A skillful lie will also work.))

"EH? Worms Counting will be they, soft have gotten you? Too talk soft now. Easily blade my can inscribe, the book dead in." You remember how annoying xaostics speak at some parts of the hive, and how most members want to kill first ask questions never.

"Murder?! Like I told you, I've hardly been here for six hours. I've been wandering aimlessly, dodging thugs and pick-pockets, just looking for a place to eat and sleep. Can we de-escalate and be reasonable? I, literally, have no idea who anyone is, including you. Why are you casting spells on me? Who got murdered??

Mr. Black, sheaths his sword and moves next to the dog, with Bimble behind him. He's intent to not use any of the local lingo to punctuate the fact that he has no motive or clue as to what its going on. He's also careful to move in a position where his next spell will hit the maximum number of targets.

Move so I can hit the spellcaster with a narrow part of the cone, miss the dog, have Bimble behind me and have the cone spread out towards her goons.

Not casting, though. Currently using my action to use diplomacy.
diplomacy: 1D20+6 = [16]+6 = 22

Edit: Also, is she telling the truth??? or is she trying to con me?
Sense Motive: 1D20+4 = [10]+4 = 14

Luke frowns, looking sharply at the Xaositects, whispering urgently
"Oi, chaos‑brothers - spin your screed straight or I'll show you how we do order in the Hive.
You start flappin' blades without my say, and you'll be lookin' more Red Death than Xaositect - all kill‑first, think‑never. An' I don't march with Mercykiller wannabes.

So listen sharp: You follow my lead for the moment, or I'll cut you so fast you'll think you argued with The Lady. Keep it wild, sure - but my wild, not some Red‑robed executioner's frenzy.

Now behave, cutter. Chaos ain't stupidity."

Nothing worse then Xaositect out of control. Unexpected, uncontrolled, yes...but mindless. He doesn't need that right now.
