The Jester's Pride Kitchen

Enseth led the way through the cellars toward the Jester's Pride Tavern. Tarthagal and his son Ganalan had stayed behind on the covered bridge to protect the townsfolk. A brave townie named Andrik agreed to accompany the Daggerfordians as their guide. He had been a guardsman in his youth but had become a weaver. still, he remembered well enough how to use a sword and he wore an ill-fitting hobgoblin hauberk and carried a goblin round-shield.

"This 'ere is the Pride's Kitchens, with th' common room jus' oop the stairs ahead." he whispered before hushing himself when Enseth detected movement in the pantry on his left.

It was a lone goblin, so drunk and stuffed with food that it fell over a bag of grain as it ran for cover when the Shield Guardian stood in the only doorway.

OOC: You can take it prisoner without a fight.

"Eeep!" shrieked the goblin, who then babbled in goblin-gibberish.

(Dandin, and anyone who spoke goblin, understood him to say, "Spogg surrender! No hurt Spogg! Lotsa food'n'booze ta go 'round! Have sum!")

OOC:
Forgot btw, Dandin could have used comprehend languages as a ritual before hand. Can we assume that he has? It'll last an hour.
Sure. Makes sense to me.

Tommi keeps watch at the door, his sling loaded (and three stones charged), as the others deal with the goblin inside. He looks at the bruise on his forearm that is still there, though the pain is gone. He wonders how his mom is doing, back in Daggerford, and what she would say if she knew what he was doing.

Jester's Pride Common Room

The goblin was easily subdued and Enseth continued up the stairs to the Common Room of the Jester's Pride Tavern. The room was dark and empty, but must have been a most welcoming watering hole in its day. Tables and chairs were strewn about and a row of stained-glass windows ran along the far wall. Some of them were broken and the front door (across the room and to the right) was ajar, and showed a set of stone stairs leading up (the Pride being under a hill).

The well-worn bar was on Enseth's left. Behind it was an open door (the chamber beyond having been used by the Red Wizard). Across from the bar, which ran along the eastern wall, was a large fireplace (the fire now only spent embers). Another, similar fireplace was kitty-corner to it, far to Enseth's right. Beside that fireplace was another door - this one shut.

The room was quiet, but the smell of smoke wafted in from outside through the front door and the broken windows. In the distance, a horn sounded, shrill and off-key.

Enseth searches the place with the help of ORB4.

Questions that were puzzling Enseth's mind:
Who was this Wizard?
What were the Red Wizards plans?
What are the forces at play?
Was Shorgg the host leader?
Where are they fleeing?
Do they have other stronghold?
