OOC: Still can. Even if they know you're out there, they cannot see you after you hide.
OOC: They'll see the blast and start heading toward the north. That's the opposite of our plan, to contain them to the south. I was expecting to be waiting a round until they've been drawn south before causing them to split between the north and south. Of course, on round 2, if the leader is still standing, Escella will target him and hopefully not miss just because of her bad luck with die rolls. :)

Angis Honack
Harpshield Castle
Afternoon
Round 0

Perception: 1D20+5 = [6]+5 = 11

Angis studied the trench fortifications around the camp and frowned. He didn’t see any easy way through those spikes. That would hamper them. But maybe it would hamper the orcs, too.

Angis scrambled up onto the boulder they hid behind and pulled up his heavy crossbow, sighting down the newly recognized orc leader, the winner of the mud wrestling competition, marking him with his ranger magic. He drew two bolts and situated both on the crossbow, then took aim and let fly at both the orc leader and his defeated opponent. Unfortunately, both bolts flew wide.

Dornuk focuses more on the palisade than on the fighting, trusting in the group to attack when appropriate. He moves a bit forward looking at the palisade that sunk a bit into the mud. He motions to others behind him, harsh-whispering
"Dere is weak spot."

With all the orcs focused on the fighting, and him looking like an orc himself, he leaves the protective effects of the spell and strides without any sudden movement toward the palisade.

If possible this should be BEFORE the fight ends (as a preparation for attack) - otherwise he is out of range of the leader and can attack only closest orcs.
Stealth: 1D20+2 = [10]+2 = 12
Move and Dash: AO71 - right next to AN71 (half move due to stealth)

If he's in position to attack:
Move: pass the barrier to AM 69, throw axe at the leader

If not, use full move (no stealth) to get to AO71 and throw at the closest orc (the orc is out of 60 range)
Throwing axe attack (disadv due range, adv due surprise); damage: 1D20+6 = [6]+6 = 12; 1D6+3 = [3]+3 = 6

Lionel is also ready to fire off a bolt at the first orc trying to get help. He is waiting for the right moment when they exit through the barriers. He reckons he will have a better chance, at the barriers, to hit the fleeing orc.

Range for the light crossbow is 80/320 and the barriers are about 80 ft away.
Crossbow attack, with damage: 1D20+7 = [8]+7 = 15
1D8+4 = [1]+4 = 5
Sneak attack, if applicable: 3D6 = [5, 4, 2] = 11
If Lionel fires while outside the range, DM's discretion, then Crossbow attack, if disadvantaged: 1D20+7 = [6]+7 = 13, but prefers to wait until next round.

Vairar curses himself for not bringing proper longbow with himself. Even worse is his selection of spells with all of them being focused on the melee combat.

However, there is one thing he CAN do and that is sow some confusion around the camp. He calls upon the Queen of the Winds and creates the zone of dead air around the orc eye and his immediate surroundings, deadening all sounds, preventing orders or casting going either way.

Action: Silence centred on AK64. 20' emanation in every direction
Move: behind Dornuk (no stealth)

@Prickly Pear, you have advantage in the surprise round so you could shoot in the long range without disadvantage (I personally think you should for potential extra damage (and sneak attack) )

As the battle ended, Dornuk and Vairar slogged their way through the muddy trench and began to work their way toward the crowd of orcs.

OOC: Do you tell Escella you cast Silence?
OOC: The characters did a long planning session. I think we can assume that anything major that someone does was part of the plan. This one certainly makes sense. Besides, she can hear it...

From Escella, Tommi, and Lionel's perspective, hidden in the trees to the north, the orcs' celebrational cheers for their new leader's victory was partially cut-off when Viarar's spell silenced the south-east corner of the crowd. The rest noticed this, and their voices erupted into confusion. Some of them figured out what was going on as Angis' quarrels thumped into the mud near the former combatants.

OOC: I will return with a more proper resolution of Round One)
