Tommi goes up to Dandin, a small note in his hand. "I'm sorry you're leaving us, friend," he begins. "But I'm glad you've found Ol' Sooty here. It won't be quiet for us for a while yet, and, um..." He shuffles his feet. "If you're back in Daggerford before I am, maybe you can give this to Sherlen?" He hands him the note, which is sealed shut with candlewax. "It's just a, well. You know." He's blushing a bit, but adds, "And maybe you can c heck in on my mom. She'll be carding the wool these days. I'm worried her hands'll be sore."
He wants to give Dandin a hug ans is thinking he might settle for a handshake, but before he does eaither, he excuses himself to place Orb5 in his, its?, resting space.
When Enseth's body starts clicking, Tommi's afraid he's broken something, and he soon realizes how unusual it is that there is any noise at all. The corpse, or the casing, in the wagon has been silent, an immobile object for so long. And when it suddenly springs to life, Tommi is stunned.
Tommi laughs in delight, but it's uncertain. When the new orb introduces himself, Tommi shakes his head. He has a giddy smile, as he introduces himself. "Hello, Oh-Six. Nice to meet you. Um. I knew your, uh, brother?"
Tommi offers an open hand, but does not know what response he expects, but he's just happy to find there is life emerging where he had felt there had been none. It was a good omen for the journey he was about to make.
