OOC: I forgot to roll stealth for hiding in bushes and Lionel is not very good at hiding today. I was hoping to get advantage on the next crossbow shot but alas. 😣
stealth check for hiding: 1D20+4 = [2]+4 = 6

Lionel thinks he found a good hiding spot and fires a well-aimed bolt at the monstrous gnoll. However, a twig from the bush must have confused Lionel's aim and the bolt misses its target as it goes over the head of the gnoll.
Lionel cursed lightly and shuffled around a bit to get into a better position for the next shot.

Action: Crossbow attack, with damage and sneak attack: 1D20+7 = [3]+7 = 10
1D8+4+3D6 = [7]+4+[4, 2, 2] = 19
, miss!
Move:
Lionel thinks he is well hidden and stays put.
Bonus Action: I'd like to use Cunning Action (Hide) again but it doesn't make sense to the story, so I'll pass.
Reaction: Uncanny Dodge, if attacked.

Vairar foregoes blessings of The Storm Queen trying to get to the fight in a hurry. And quickly regrets it as the river takes his shield and pulls it out to the left while his spear across the back twists under the pressure and pulls his shoulders to the right.

He grabs for the rope and wet gauntlets slip from the rope pulling him away.

Athletics vs river: 1D20+5 = [5]+5 = 10
Athletics vs river: 1D20+5 = [5]+5 = 10 - really!?

Legend
Escella hit the four-armed gnoll with a colourful orb that burst into flame, while Helgrim moved up beside it and hacked at it with his axe. The hyena worg leaped on the dwarf, picked him up in its jaws, and shook him back-and-forth before letting him go.

Lionel sadly missed with his quarrel, and Vairar lost his grip on the rope, getting washed downstream while trying to regain his feet.

OOC: Escella did 12 & Helgrim did 23 to Gnoll1; Worg2 did 9 to Helgrim and he needs to roll a dc13 strength save to keep his feet. Vairar is lucky that he's still over the earth-mound and can stand if he makes a dc13 athletics check. @Kobold Stew Tommi to go to roll the round!

From his position in the bushes, Tommi lets fly another stone, this time at the monstrous gnoll that has just appeared. Oh Six hovers around the beast, daring it to strike him before flying away.

Bad luck causes the stone to glance aside, however, barely noticed.

As he loads his final stone, Tommi shifts his position deeper into the bushes, but in doing so he rustles the leaves for all to hear.

OOC: Attack Gnoll 1 with advantage from Oh-six. 1d20+7=12. ACK!
Move: as needed for....
Bonus: Stealth 1d20+8=11. Ack ack.

Stones left: 1.

As the warg strikes, Tommi is knocked off balance, but is able to stay on his feet and slip from the creature's grasp. Tommi drops the sling and the stone it holds as he reaches for Gutter. Oh-Six chirrups over the creature's head, as Tommi takes a stab at the distracted warg.

Gutter strikes deep, as Tommi slashes with the rusty blade.

OOC: Reaction in round 2: rounding down damage to 6. HP 33/39.
Strength save: 1d20+0=14 vs DC 13. PASS.

Round 3:
Attack: 1d20+6=15 (with advantage - sorry forgot to include it in the initial roll, which gave 4d6+3=19 damage (magical slashing)

[Afterthought: could have disengaged and used the sling; sleepy today. :D ].
