Give me your ideas for the perfect D&D game

I have been thinking lately on designing the best possible D&D experience. I've seen some really cool enhancements at the following sites:

The projection Mapping System on

http://www.d20srd.org/

and

The Ultimate Gaming Table at

http://www.agyris.net/v3/ugt/default.asp

I am also thinking adding music, sound effects and visuals. I want to made the table top game to come alive.

These are my thoughts lets hear some of yours

two words: WAR ROOM

that "ultimate" gaming table lacks the needs of what I want
geomorphic playing surface with 10 inch elevation deviation (+5/-5) from table top
top down projector linked to DM station
player micro terminals with itsy keyboards and micro 400x300 pixel screen for messages.
spycams on each sheet/dice for the DM.
Cintiq (or similar) screen for direct drawing to map, replicated to the table.
spine-locked phone book style storage of the three core books, gurps 4th ed characters and other books needed.
a small water spout to each player so a cup is always available in moments of need, filtered and chilled slightly below room temp but nothing teeth numbing.
a computer set up for the DM, for the messages, module and the like. Access to the internet, LCD screen only, low profile keyboard, etc.

now, thats with a budget... no limit well lets ignore the geomorphics, and such. This is call for holographic imaging, and letting players sculpt .god files and the like for their "mini"
A super computer multiple terminal layout with a graphic AI for recognising dice rolls by the players to show a exclusive feeds if they pass spot checks etc of what they know and see and the like. Dual screen 12" LCD for players and a compact 101 keyboard similar to a laptop.
Native GODlike interface for the DM with manipu-gloves for the table scenery
mini joystick for the players with a grid top down simplified version of the map, for combat.
inside a tavern scene full with music from the same place in the hologram, annoying the player sitting closest to the bard!

awwwww, just screw this and make a Matrix symbiosis system... Holodeck and suddenly appearing old little man in a red cloack... I have an unlimited budget!
I'll hire derelicts on the street to dress up and be killed by players... and we can do it in international waters on my recently acquired yacht! its not illegal

I can buy an island and raise bears on it and land a plane of people there and they can play the game, all fitted out! its not just roleplaying now! budget budget budget I wish I had a budget.

Hmm -- Unlimited you say ? Ok here is what I would do

Nice gameroom -- lots of shelves and the like

Books -- plenty of copies of every book -and a really detailed players guide (a copy for each player-- printed and bound)

Cozy Chairs -- not too cozy (or the players might fall asleep) but comfy for a long game

Big Big game tables (4 of them) for City, Woods, Dungeon and Other. These tables would have lost of terrain and components

Every single encounter would have stat cards and 2 minis (up and down basically) -- I would pay somone to paint them for me or buy D&D minis as needed

I would have hordes of templates and tokens ready to play. If a status changes in game I would have a token for it -- cast a spell ? I have a template

Props as needed. This could include clothes, jewelry, trinkets, a dagger (only with a reallt trusted group though) whatever

DM automation laptop -- this would include init tracking, monster tracking, die roll automation -- the works -- I could basically plug in tactics, move my monsters and the system would do the rest

Sound system with tons of music -- this could the same laptop but I want a remote controlled sound system with selections in MP3 ready to use

Snack Bar-- this would be snack and paper cups. Dinner would be delivered each session (or if we needed to go out on me) and snacks would be ready

5 or 6 good friends with time to play

That should cover it

Unlimited budget. You guys are merely thinking of 'nice' stuff to have for the 'dream' game room.

How about....
Some good actors to play each NPC.
Set builders to build life size sets for each game session.
Special effects from ILM.
Hire 5+ developers fulltime to produce the perfect software to aid your game.
Might as well film everything while your at it.
Awe heck just fly Monte C., Gygax, or whoever your favorite designer is to run your weekly game.

This is going to sound a little cocky but...

1 - We have a majorly kick-butt overhead digital projection system already
2 - We have more miniatures of every make and description than we could ever use already
3 - We have about 8 laptops and auto this that and the other thing already
4 - We have a pretty decent gaming room with overstuffed leather couches circling the table already.

I guess a larger room - better projector - slightly better and bigger chairs and couches with a thicker button-tucked leather would be nice.

But is that going to improve our games or gaming experience that much? Not really.

I'd be happy as hell to win the lottery and not have to work so I could spend a little more time gaming and prepping for my stuff - but... in terms of real impact - not going to have that much effect.

So while we could make it a touch more comfortable than our gaming setup already is - it's already on the upper end of Enworlders gaming set ups I think.

And yes - it is damn fun too :)
