International Swap / Secret Santa?

Hey all,

I used to pop over to the RPG.net messageboards, and noticed some threads that talked about swapping game systems and supplements with other people.

As far as I could tell, one person (I'll call him Z) organized the whole thing. Interested parties would send in their names, and Z would pair off the names. X would send whatever gaming goodies they no longer wanted to Z, as would Y. Or they might send them to each other; it's been a while since I read the thread.

Anyhow, it seems that the process met with several successes. Any thoughts on doing a similar thing here on EnWorld?

So, if you'd be interested in doing a ENworld Gift Swap, post here. If it looks like enough people are willing to do so, I'll set it up and manage it. But it needs to get rolling soon, like in the next week.

I participated in both of the RPGNet ones. Basically, they way they did it is people would commit to sending out X number of packages. Some people did one, but one guy I think ended up sending out a dozen. For each package you send out, you get one in return. The idea was you send RPG books you no longer have use for and get RPG books other people no longer have use for. I loved it, I sent a total of 6 packages and actually got some really cool stuff in return. Another thing they did was have each person also declare where they are willing to send things. Basically by the end of it it was almost like a big US exchange a big Europe exchange with some other people from South America and Asia in the mix.

So, count me in on this.
