D&D 5E Ironfang Invasion (IC)

“I agree with you Corsa,” Aubrin said with a grin, “if you want you can take our new friend with you but it would be harder to watch him in the wilderness. I am more than willing to have him stay here under guard. While I’m not willing to throw away his life yet, I’m also not willing to trust him.”

“I’ll leave his immediate fate to you. Currently Jet is watching him if you decide to take him just let her know, and hurry back.” Aubrin said as she headed back towards her tent.

OOC:
At this point Fluffy would find the Goblinoids still at the edge of the forest but they are breaking camp. If they marched straight towards the towns camp they could be there in three days but any systematic search of the woods would take them at least a week, more like two before they reached the camp.

Vin shrugs himself out of the bond, standing he turns to the others.

"The goblins are breaking camp, if they knew exactly where we were it would take at least three days for them to get here, we have time."

"Keep him," Corsa says to Aubrin, only slightly relieved by the ranger's words. "We won't have time to babysit out there."

She looks around at the rest of the group. "Ready to raise anchor, then?"

Sister Grace will return to camp. She thinks her best contributions will be aiding the common folk and helping at base camp.

OOC: I spoke to eayres33. I'm retiring Sister Grace, she's just not clicking with me. I'll be whipping up a new PC.

Corsa looks at Loosh with an inscrutable expression. She hadn't forgotten her old life for a moment, so she was surprised by how much it hurt to hear "captain" out loud. Blackford was a bastard, but he was the bastard who saved her life.

"Wish I was the captain, love," she says, her tone uncharacteristically soft. "Life would've gone a lot differently."

Despite the early hour, she pulls the rum out of her pack as they head out of camp.

Loosh nodded to Corsa, he knew how she felt to work under an impossible captain. He also knew what it was like throw a captain overboard after beating him over the head with a belaying pin, but he kept that one to himself. He kept most of his time at sea to himself, but he knew that Corsa could see more than he ever let on.

"Alright, we'll leave the prisoner here," Flint says with some relief. "Just a moment!"

The dwarf quickly runs over to Jet, briefly explaining the situation, and starts telling her how Flint feels the prisoner should be guarded best.

After she has repeatedly confirmed she'll be alright, the dwarf returns.

"Ready," he says without nautical terms.
