Lethal Star Trek Blade Seized in UK

reminds me of the end of Holy Grail, when the cops are disarming all the Knights, saying things like "that's a dangerous weapon, it is!"

Wait... it's illegal to carry them in public, or it's illegal to actually just simply own those in the UK?
I suspect owning those would be illegal in the UK.

Man, that looks like a cheap peice of sheet metal. IIRC there is a knife company that has a booth at most conventions, Gencon, WizardWorld, etc... that makes those.

I would be surprised. I know people can and do legally own replica swords here, and I doubt the law makes the distinction as far as this type of thing is concerned. However, I might be wrong.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, though, weapons like the one pictured are really not a problem in the UK, smaller blades (and notably switchblades) are. The reason being that you'll see someone with something like that a long way off, and be able to give them a wide berth, while the same is not true of the smaller blades.

Plus, I rather suspect that the person who bought that blade didn't buy it intending to use it, which again isn't true of switchblades.

Anything more is political, so I'll stop now.

That is why I perfer my Klingon Dagger, probably still illegal to carry in certain places in the public but it has a belt loop!! :D

Man, you guys have all the cool Star Trek toys...

...I only have the marshmellow dispenser from Star Trek V. :(

Dang..... So when I visit England... Should I take my Boy Scout Knife out of my purse? Heck, I just used it at the movies to open a particularly naughty bag of Skittles.

I especially like the way the policeman looks with the blade

it's like, when looking at him you almost know he's thinking: Why did I take this job?

And he's not even holding it right! :]

Stupid Terran. Only a True Klingon Warrior can wield such a blade with Honor!
